I do not like the Velcro used on the belt support

The Mueller back support does its job well. However, I have some issues with the design for what ever they are worth. I do not like the Velcro used on the belt support. The Velcro comes loose at the most inopportune times which results in frequent adjustments to make the belt fit properly. This problem seems to be exacerbated if one perspires quite a bit and the Velcro looses its holding ability very easily. My second complaint about the back support is centered around the thin cord used the tighten the belt around the waist. Because of the design, the cord will fray over time and break. It gives what seems to be a quality product a cheap feeling. I think Mueller would do itself a valuable service by doing back to the drawing board and come up with a different way to cinch the belt around the waist with something other than Velcro.

AMAZING for people with back pain in need of a cheap fix

This back brace has been really helpful for me, as I am a cashier with chronic back pain. It won't fix all of your issues but for the price, it is absolutely incredible. It works great for those times when you can barely move from back pain but need to get things done, adding just enough support to get you through your shift or through whatever chores need to be done. It has really great support and is comfortable, for the most part. I recommend wearing it over a shirt or at least a tank top as it's really uncomfortable up against skin. You'll be okay wearing it with a crop top, etc. but I don't recommend it for that. The BEST part is the keyhole pull system to tighten it. It really helps get you the exact pressure and support you need, though it might take a few tries to get the hang of it.

Provides support and is adjustable

It is easy to adjust the size. It fits well. 100% comfortable. I wore it during the day for two days. I found I had a support belt that had more support than this one. Therefore, I returned it.

Great engineering but. . .

After abdominal surgery I've been left with a very large hernia on the side of my abdomen. This device would've been perfect had it been wider however right now it is about as supportive and restraining as a 32C bra on a 36DD chest. As it is, it only partially contains the herniated area and generally doesn't accomplish what I was looking for. Additionally, it should be offered in white so as to be unobtrusive when worn under a light colored shirt. The engineering thought that has gone into this, however, is excellent. The mechanical advantage that the device offers is unparalleled.

The support is just what I need for fairly vigorous activity following back surgery 6 weeks ago. The belt has enabled me to do this. The product came to me in the time expected, as it had been described.

Very rigid fit
