I was skeptical so I ordered this Balancing moisturizer & the hydrating option to test them both and I love using this balancing one under my vanicream. Just put it in my cart again. Just like Hydroboost but a slightly better price & lasts longer than 5 seconds. Still looking for a similar consistency product but this is now my “safe” option.

It's not terrible..

This product does it job, it moisturizers my face, but doesn't leave it looking oily. For that I'll give it 4 stars. I usually use the Neutrogena hydro boost, but it started making my face look greasy after makeup application about half way through the day. I do not like how the product feels going on. It seems to get sticky as I'm rubbing it in, and feels odd for a little on my face. Throughout the day though it definitely does it's job. I don't have dry or oily skin, and that was the goal!

Excellent lightweight moisturizer

I love this product! I am 58, have sensitive and rosacea skin which breaks out in a rash or blemish if you even glance at it wrong. This is a very light moisturizer that does not irritate or burn. This lotion is EWG rated (which is how I discovered it) and it is folliculitis safe. It's also reasonably priced. I've tried probably every brand name, dermatologist office recommended, and OTC product out there. Please keep this product without any changes Amazon! I've tried for years to find something that would not aggravate my skin. I also use the balancing face wash with great success.

Decent option but still not perfect and quite pricey.

I initially bought this product for health concerns and the good EWG rating but later looked into the ingredients and was a little disappointed. I would give a more lenient rating if the price wasn't so steep. Pros: - Very lightweight and worked well with my oily skin - Had a slight reduction in inflammation but nothing spectacular - Glass jar: good for limiting plastic leaching and environmental impact - Ingredients are better than other big name brands like Neutrogena but not good enough for my standards Cons: - Definitely fairly pricey, especially for the ingredients list. You can find other products with high health/safety standards for cheaper. - Will sting a little like using BP/Tretinoin for the first time if you have very sensitive skin. I didn't have any problems but when applying after microneedling I would get the stinging sensation for a few minutes. - The main issue I have is with the ingredients list. As said before it's definitely not perfect. ACRYLATES, VP COPOLYMER: EWG claims these microplastics do not cause significant health concerns at these concentrations, but it may be still be an issue for yourself. PHENOXYETHANOL: There is a lot of controversy over this regarding cancer risk and endocrine disruption but the amount is so small it may not be relevant. Ultimately it is still a better option than parabens, though I am not sure of its purpose given the formulation already has Caprylhydroxamic Acid as the primary preservative. Licorice Root Extract: I don't know how strong the effect is, nor how much of the extract is used in this formulation, so this may not have a relevant effect, but licorice root is known to be a significant endocrine disruptor by lowering testosterone. However, this effect has only been studied in the quantity of consuming grams of it daily.

I love this moisturizer! It is very lightweight! Perfect for my oily skin in the summer. It has no fragrance and it also is EWG verified!

Nice moisturizer

It’s great but it leaves my skin a little tight and not enough moisturizing for my skin but it does help manage my oil throughout the day.
