Exact Fit, Good Price, Quick Delivery

This was an exact fit for our Moen Chateau T999 bathtub faucet. Removal of the existing parts was orders of magnitude more difficult than installing the replacement parts. Lesson Learned - If you are unsure of your faucet model number, send a picture to Moen and they will send you the model number and parts diagram.

Proceed with Caution....This is a Tricky DIY

The Moen 1248 valve cartridge is very well made, but it is a very challenging item to remove and replace. Unless you've installed this kit or done a similar kit before, take time to watch an instructional video or two before you begin. Doing so will save you a whole lot of grief. As insurance, order two of these kits and have a back-up on hand in case of cross threading, which is unbelievably easy to do. You must also have the inexpensive installation tool (Moen 14272) to get this job done, so be sure to order it along with this extension kit unless you already have one. Take care and good luck.

Nearly Exact Replacement for Moen Roman Tub Faucet

I broke off the handle to our roman tub and eventually figured out that it was a Moen and that I needed this cartridge extender. The kit included all of the replacement parts I needed, except for the cartridge. You will also need the Moen cartridge removal tool. My only complaint is that it was very easy to cross thread the soft plastic of these parts. I ended up using some of the original parts because their plastic was harder and didn't cross thread.

This did not work for my T999 Moen

The correct parts for my Moen T999 Chateau Two Knob Roman Tub Kit was Moen 143002 Handle Adapter Kit and the Moen 14709 Replacement. The 14709 has a blue and red plastic piece that can be used as the 2.7" length or in my case I was able to use a hacksaw and cut of one inch off of the blue and red pieces to fit my T999.
