Great repair kit

What do you not want to happen during a sink repair? Well plastic is what it is and usually worn or cracked This kit came quickly with great instructions along with the new shiny plastic part.

If blue plastic piece, need to modify

Kit was OK, but I’m thinking it must be made for later model single handle Moen. The metal piece was entirely unusable completely different from original part which is much larger. Luckily I didn’t need that piece. The black plastic loop thing was all I needed and it didn’t fit either, as the round “channel” in it was too small (0.155”) to fit the metal piece old part (0.185” diameter), so it would not “close” enough to get the screws down through it. So I had to modify the old metal part, reduce that 0.185” down to 0.155” for the black plastic loop piece to fit to it. I used a small flat metal file, a belt sander (that was only was able to touch the bottom half of the metal) and a good bit of time to do all that. But finally got it all to work together, and the kitchen spigot is back in business. To clarify, the old (broken) BLUE plastic loop thing has a larger (0.190” ?) round channel in it, to fit thy e larger 0.185” metal (shaft) that goes inside it. Who knows where you can get one of those blue ones, probably nowhere. Maybe from Moen parts direct. If so, it would likely be free, since it’s a lifetime warranty. For a certain reason, I was not able to go that route. But maybe you can.

Perfect fit!

The manufacturer was out of stock and I found this product on Amazon. I bought it and installed it on my malfunctioned faucet with no problem.

Keep an Extra Kit In Your Home Toolbox

When your Moen single-handle laundry faucet quits on a weekend evening and you discover you need that "plastic rocker arm thingy" to allow the cartridge to open and close; you'll be glad you have this inexpensive repair kit in your box. Mine was for a 30+-year-old Moen using a #1225 cartridge. Worth every penny.

Cost effective

This is the way to go if you know how to reassemble. Instructions are parts blowup only. Study picture carefully-look for details like in which direction are parts in assembly blowout. Plastic piece goes around lever.

What we needed+

Only needed the plastic connector, but wasn't upset that we got a couple extra parts, especially for the price. Only had it installed 1 day, but so far it's working perfectly. Comes with rudimentary instructions, good enough for me though, no hand holding needed here.
