I love using this for my cold stone face massages that I do at my spa! Great value love the variety of sizes of stones

package arrived opened & damaged

Package arrived opened & damaged as seen in pictures with the review. The bag they shipped it in was wide open, looks like it was never sealed correctly. Then the cardboard box the stones where in was just in pieces inside the shipping bag. They shipped these stones with a large-sized elastogel neck ice-roll. This thing weighs5lbs and it rolls (as the name implies) & probably rolled all over the box of stones during shipping & handling. Don't know who decided to ship these items in a bag instead of a box with bubble wrap but marble stones need more protection. Thankfully the stones seem to have no chips/ not broken. I'll update my review when I use them to say whether they stay cold long enough or not. I have other marble stones (bought on TIR stones website) & those smaller ones don't stay cold very long, no matter how you prep them. I thought I'd add more stones to the collection so I can switch stones during use when they lose their cold. --Master Massage Therapist

Great gift for your partner

Great gift for your partner.. pair with a nice light massage oil and have a romantic evening! It could end up being a gift for both of you :) The rocks: Large, but not Giant. Heavy, smooth, good for large muscles. 8 is a good number, this is a good deal. I would like if they weren't all the exact same shape, but honestly, they work just fine. I may get some medium/small ones simply for feet/hands - I think these are something we'll use! How to heat/use: (Disclaimer: I'm not a pro! It's just a hobby) I heated them in the crockpot, covered in water - Low setting didn't heat them enough, so I turned them on High. After about 20 minutes, take them out 2 at a time with tongs and dip them in cold water for a few seconds - til the "skin" is cool, but the "core" is still hot. If you can hold them in your hands for 3 seconds without feeling that it's too hot for you.. it's probably okay for skin. Make sure you dry them off before using on someone's skin, and use a light oil if any. There are lots of really helpful videos on YouTube, so check those out if you need tips or guidance.

Nice weight and quality

These stones have a nice weight to them. They are heavier than most. They heat nicely in a crock pot. I use them for massaging more muscular clients.

Nice but make my hands tired

Purchased this for my boyfriend for Christmas. The stones are a nice size compared to others which is a bonus. Stones also maintain heat for a fair amount of time. My only complaint is they can be hard to use with massage oil as the stones keep slipping. My hands also became very fatigued. Overall I was able to give a one hour massage. I would recommend these to purchase.

Beautiful

These stones are perfect for my massages and third time IS a charm I only had to talk to two team members after receiving two broken sets to ask them to package them properly. They finally showed up in one piece.

Great compliment for hot stones

Great stones hold the cold really well with out making a huge mess like ice cubes. Loses all cold in a few minutes though way less time being cold than an ice cube. Great for a specific problem area using heat to bring blood flow into an area and then using cold to flush blood flow out allowing for fresh blood to come into the area once you remove it. It really is expensive though for what you get. As a therapist I understand the convenience but have found there are cheaper ways these just looked cool and i wanted them.

8 stones in the box, one of them has an hole, and one of them has a crack, the stones look nothing like the pictures on the product listing page, the stone colour is completely different from the photos.

Good stones to warm up the body

I heat up the stones (2 on a dish, in microwave, 80 seconds) and roll them in pockets of towels, put them on my body (2 on the liver, 2 around neck/shoulders) before sleeping. The have helped me a lot during winter, good sleep, relieve pain and better digestion, and may be more which I don’t know. I can feel that the heat circulate down to the feet and then the whole body. With 80 seconds in microwave, it’s a good level, not burning, heat lasts for approx 1 hour, good enough for the result. Stones are round and polished, good quality (I’ve used them daily for almost 2 years now) and 100% natural. I recommend a try ! Price is quite high but it’s justified and worth for your health !
