Good villain if you use the scenario that works

This villain comes with two scenarios and is essentially two separate villains. The "Risky Business" scenario is a cool idea, swapping between Norman Osborne and Green Goblin form, but doesn't work correctly because you can keep him as Normal Osborne as long as you want and he is basically ineffective in that form. However, his other scenario, Mutagen Formula, is a normal scenario that basically works fine, especially for heroes who like punching hordes of minions. I wouldn't say he is the best villain, but Marvel Champions is a game where you desperately need more villains than come in the box, and the Green Goblin does a solid job of adding another option to the villain mix. I think he is my favorite solo villain so far. So as long as you ignore Risky Business and understand you are buying one villain, Green Goblin is a perfectly good choice to get. But I'd buy Rise of the Red Skull first, as it gives you way more bang for your buck than buying a solo villain.

I want To Like It

So what is exactly is this? This is a scenario pack for the Marvel Champions game. The game is excellent. But how is the first pack? Well first recognize that there are no hero cards in this pack. It's just straight up one scenario. So how does it play? Well first for the good. I love they went for more obscure villains like the Wrecking Crew. After all how cool is it to fight a guy with a magic crowbar? The basic idea is the Wrecking Crew is breaking out of jail. Can you stop them in time? The problem with the pack is the idea is better than the execution. The pack isn't as bad as everyone says. But it's still not a very exciting pack. Really the issue is the 4 side schemes the villains have. While they do bad things to you if they threat out (get 10 threat), they don't make you lose the game. So the most threat the main scheme is getting is just the amount of players. You are only in danger of getting knocked out. There is very little chance you will lose to the main scheme getting too much threat. Now normally at this point in the review I normally review how good it is for solo play, multi player, and whether you should buy it first. It will be a little different but I will still run it through the questions. Solo play: 4 of 5 stars. It can be a decent challenge. Unless you have a ton of allies, then it makes it really easy. Co-op play: 2 of 5 stars. It doesn't get that much more exciting with 2 players. First buy?: I don't recommend a scenario pack for a first buy unless you just love the villains in it. But of the two currently out, this or Green Goblin's scenario, I'd say go with the Goblin. So my final thoughts are it's an ok scenario pack. If you are collecting everything then it's a must buy. If you are being pretty selective on what you get though I'd say this is an easier one to skip.

I liked it a lot

2 scenarios. One of them is great but I don't like it all that much. One of them is not that well made but I have a lot of fun with its gimmick. Not an ideal combination. This pack is worth the money for sure though.

Solid New Villain

This is an expansion for Marvel Champions. Since we already have Spiderman, of course we need Green Goblin! This set actually offers two different villains, along with four modular sets that you can mix in to these villains, or any others. It adds some nice variety to the game, and Green Goblin packs a decent punch!

Good Marvel Champions Scenario

Great add on! I have to admit Green Goblin was one of my favorite villains growing up b/c he had that business mogul alter-ego. Good game play by facing home twice to progress the mutagen formula story along. Game Boarders (the Co. that fulfilled my order) wasn’t the quickest shipping, but they did resend my deck without charge when it got lost either at their warehouse or on transit to USPS along the way.

Two versions of a classic villain

Two different versions of Green Goblin in one pack? Awesome! Lots of fun stuff to add into your Marvel Champions game. Highly recommended expansion.

A lot of fun.

I had no idea what the wrecking crew was but this scenario pack introduced new game mechanics which made the game feel fresh. Additional hit point counters are recommended and not supplied with the pack.

This is a great expansion for the core set. It is a great combination of new features and additional cards to play with the standard decks. My favorite expansion for Marvel Champions!

A new villain dynamic

How about taking on four villains instead of just one? The Wrecking Crew bring a new villain dynamic to Marvel Champions – and it's a lot of fun. I've only played this campaign solo, so far - but it keeps you thinking. Although you only engage one of the Crew at a time, there is plenty of opportunity for them to switch places throughout the play session. It took me a couple of attempts to get the right strategy, and it's definitely a campaign I will keep coming back to as it helps add variety. If you're looking to expand the Core set, but don't want to buy another big expansion set, this would be a good choice. Makes for a nice compact scenario to pack on a holiday or take to a gaming session - just remember to pack four of your 'Hero' HP Trackers (as the Hero uses the Villain Tracker, in a reverse of the norm). NB. I've noticed Amazon have not been the best on price for these Marvel Champions packs. Keep an eye out on other tabletop gaming stockists, or your local gaming retailer. I've picked up other Villain packs for ~£12.
