It looks and feels as solid as any others I've tried

This was a great buy. I paid $3 less than I would've at the hardware store around the corner, if they ever had a one with (4) ½" holes that is. I drilled a few holes in the back for some screws to secure it, as it's set in to a mortised 2x6", so I didn't use the included mounting tabs, but the grounding screw, universal perforated gasket, and (1) plastic bronzed plug I used all came in handy. I was afraid I was going to damage the bronze powder coating, as I had to dry fit it in a snug mortise a couple of times to line up the internal conduits, but thankfully it held up great on all five sides. I finished the install with a decora GFCI duplex from Eaton, and a weatherproof cover from TayMac without any struggles.
