Does NOT Glow In the Dark; Paper Ball

The media could not be loaded. I bought both the 2022 Halloween LOL surprise dolls as soon as I saw them bc I’ve gotten huge into collecting these lately and I adore previous’ years’ Halloween dolls. Design wise, they’re nice, glittery and halloweeny, but they have some cons. This doll is cute, but other than her dress, not super Halloweeny. But that can be a good thing if you’d like to keep her displayed year round or dress her in some other clothes. She comes with a dress, glittery boots, a glittery unicorn headband, and her adorable Halloween drink with candy corn colors. I really love that. Her hair is super shiny and glittery, which is fun. What about the downsides? Well, MGA is now releasing some of their dolls with paper balls instead of plastic ones. Better for the environment, and I don’t have to feel guilty about not saving them (I don’t have room!), but for the limited edition dolls—especially the Halloween ones—this is a big bummer. The previous Halloween LOL surprise dolls came from the manufacturer, MGA, with balls that looked like Jack O lanterns that also served as stands, which makes for a great display. It’s a shame that they didn’t do that with this year’s release. At the very least they could have included a little plastic stand. Wouldn’t have cost the company much, would still be fairly green, and would have made displaying easier. Another issue with this particular doll is that the headband doesn’t have the little knobs that fit into the holes near the dolls’ ears that helps keep them in place, so it falls off constantly. This could be an issue if you’re buying this for a child, as they may lose it quickly, and be upset. Idk if mine is defective or what, but this is the first LOL surprise doll I’ve bought that had a headband that did not have the notches. (I included a photo so you can see what I’m talking about.) However, the BIGGEST issue with this year’s release is the fact that they don’t glow in the dark. At ALL. You can see in my included video clip. I went into a windowless room, first with lights on, then off. I even brought the dolls close to the camera and still couldn’t see even a hint of fluorescence. I don’t regret my purchase at all, and they look nice with my collection, but I figured I should mention these downsides so you or your child aren’t disappointed when you open yours up. (Note that the stand and other items not mentioned as included are used for display and not part of this product.)

Love her!

So cute!! I normally stay away from the glitter ones, but i caved for this Halloween series. Her little candy corn bottle has to be one of my favorites ever. The only flaw is that the headband has a hard time staying on and does not “click” into place behind the ears like some of the other LoL dolls. Overall extremely happy with her and I can’t wait to get the other to compete this set!

Spooky but in a cute way

Very cute and perfect for halloween. My daughter really liked the details. I think it said it was supposed to glow but we didn't have success with that. Maybe it doesn't actually glow.
