Door jack

I’m using the Jack to set commercial doors on its hinges on the frame. The base part of the jack is fine, but the front that the door sits on is too flimsy, and the door keeps slipping off.

Perfect for seasonal door

Our exterior door won't properly close or lock in summer and always a big hassle, but works fine in winter. This works awesome and solved out problem at a great price. Wish I found it years ago.

Perfect except one part

This works great except the part the door sits on had no rubber and the door slides right off apply some type of grip and it works well even with very heavy doors

Good tool for the money.

Not bad for the price. I just finished using this tool to hang 140 vynal doors. Each door was 95 lbs. I would often have to place a 3/4" pc. of trim under this tool to get the lift hieght correct, but that's an issue with the threshold, not the tool. After 140 doors, it's done. The base hole has opened up to much. The tool just falls over. Having said that, there is nothing else that I have found that works as well. It needs a stronger base and solid pins. That would help it last much longer and lift more weight. The pins you could do yourself. The base? Not sure. I would by it again if stronger and I would pay alot for it. Hint, hint...

Put a piece of double sided tape on the surface that you use to lift the door

Useless - needs traction

I bought this because I have a heavy door leading out to my garage and it’s too unwieldy to lift into place any other way. I thought this was the perfect solution. But no matter what I do, the door just slides off at the slightest lateral pressure. It needs a rubberized step. Bare metal can’t provide friction.

Got to add a rubber pad

As was noted by other reviewers doors kept slipping of the lift foot when trying to raise the door. I added a piece of rubber to the lifting part and that solve the slipping issue.

Angle on the botton could be longer

Definately not for commercial doors

Its so good tool but The lid sometimes slips on the edge and the manufacturer should make the lifting edge longer

Doors slip off

The principle of this tool is fine. The product is also well made. However, like others who have left a review regarding the door slipping off when raised I suffered the same problem continuously. Personally I would use inflatable airbags that can be bought from DIY shops.

A great aid to door hanging

This is like having another pair of hands when hanging a door. I have used it to raise doors into position to enable them to be fitted to the frames. A definite must have to home DIY'ers. A Highly recommended addition to any toolbox.
