Great solution for placing multiple subwoofers

I like these a lot. The connectors are really high quality and you can just use a standard rg6 crimp tool to attach them. Original intent for this purchase was to hide subwoofer cables in the wall without straining the rg6 cable using straight compression connectors. It doesn’t quite work too well in all cases. If I knew about these connectors during construction, I would have planned ahead and used new work low voltage rings instead of boxes with sides that are open in the back.

Come right off with minimal pressure

Using Legrand AC3007 with flat plate adapter, have tried 4 times but the connectors slide right off with well less than 55 lbs of pressure. They do not provide a clean signal. The AC3008 straight connectors work just fine. Interesting that the pictures under "Features" show what appears to be a different model.

Not a firm fitting.

I had terrible luck getting any of these fittings to work. After using the compression tool the RCA plug would pull right off. Sending them back. Sad as I was pretty excited about these.

Better option...

I am giving this three stars because I have not personally tried them. If I could order a 5 pack for $5 to test I would update my review. From what I have researched these wont really crimp properly without their crimping tool. As others have reported the signal not being great, I cant speak to that but if you aren't crimping it the right way or fully seating it it will not work right. A standard Compression female F requires about 1/4" jacket with aluminum coaxial shield exposed and 1/2" center pin. With an angled connector you obviously cannot see the depth of the wire as you would with a standard connector so you have to go by feel and experience, the best way to achieve that is to mark with a silver sharpie and make sure it's seated. That being said I feel the best way to obtain the benefits of the angled plug is to use standard straight compression female F connector and combine with an 3GHz rated 90 degree adapter. The only place I know of that has the real blue 3GHz rated are the Summit S place in SE US.
