Warm puppy dog

Our black lab is getting older and doesn't do well in the cold anymore but she won't leave our side. Went fishing recently and it was cold we knew we would need something for her to help keep her warm, my husband found this one and got it and arrived in time for our trip. Fit perfectly and extra room to adjust if needed. She wasn't quite sure about having to wear it but she soon got used to it. Overall, I am Impressed with the coat and I believe our dog liked it as well.

Dog coat my dog has not been able to rip!

My dog is tough on coats. I put this over a more vulnerable coat. This is the first one she has not been able to tear. She is under old vehicles harassing rabbits and in the past would rip the other materials to shreds. It also protects her from getting totally muddy. Washes up nice.

Decent chore jacket.

Helps to keep brush from snagging your dog's coat. Will fade in the sun. My last purchase was an orange that faded significantly but the jacket itself it still solid.

Good quality

I have a 95 pound Doberman and the XL fits him well. I usually put a fleece coat on him but because he likes to roll in the dry grass and an old manure pile, I had to use something else that wouldn't bring everything back in the house. The smoothness of the outside layer of the Carthart coat keeps a lot of the debris from clinging to the jacket. It is also easy to put on utilizing two heavy duty velcro straps. I do consider this jacket to be more of a mid level cold weather jacket as the material isn't as thick as other winter jackets nor does it cover as much of the dog's body as other winter jackets such as a Derby originals winter jackets that he wears in below 20 degree temps. However, the Carthart jacket can be worn over his fleece coat comfortably for more warmth. I think this Carthart jacket will do a good job of resisting scrapes and scratches from things dogs seem to encounter when they're outside doing dog things.

Great carhartt dog jacket

Great for keeping the water off my short hair american bully, It also keeps her core noticeably warm combined with her harness. This is a jacket, NOT a harness. a harness fits over it perfectly though. Fabric is receptive to 3M scotchgaurd.

Great dog jacket.

I have a white dog so in the winter I want her as visible as possible on our country roads. This jacket is great for that. She can withstand the cold longer than if she isn’t wearing it but I wouldn’t consider it a ‘winter’ dog coat. Although typically her feet are what get cold before the rest of her. it is made with great material and does keep her dry in the snow. It’s more of a fitted coat so there isn’t much stretch but it has nice thick strong Velcro in the front and under her rib cage. It’s light weight.

Good coat

Super cute and really durable, not the warmest if your dog gets really cold. The orange coat is excellent for walks during hunting season. Only complaint is if your dog is not always off leash, there is no way to use this coat with a harness. (Unless you cut a little hole in it.)

It’s absolutely adorable! I bought the wrong size initially (just measured her back and it was way too big) but the exchange was super easy with prime. She’s a dachshund so it can be hard to find proper sizing, it’s adjustable at both the neck and around the middle so easy to make comfortable. She does a little happy dance when I pull it out but probably because that means she gets to wander the warehouse

My dog loves this coat! She enjoys wearing it and finds it very comfortable. Very well made and worth the price point IMO. However, I would love to see it have a hole in the back for a harness. 10/10 great coat.
