Optimus Prime Rescue Bot Toddler Muscle Costume, Red/Blue, Large

My kid loves Optimus Prime, and he got very excited when he saw the picture in the package. But we had few problems. - Sizing: My toddler is 3, but he is a little big for his age (he wears 4T clothes). In the beginning, I got the medium (3T-4T) size but it was a little too tight for him, so I changed it to the large (4-6) size. But the large size is too long for him,so I would need to fix it before he wears it on Halloween. - Design: the costume is one piece with an opening in the back with velcro straps. The upper part has cotton (???) balls inside to show the muscles. The muscle makes the upper part warm but bulky and awkward to move. The bottom part is with a very thin fabric (the whole costume is with the same thing fabric), and looks like he is gonna be cold outside if nothing is worn under the costume (we live in MD). Also because it is one piece, I think this is not a potty friendly costume. I wished it was two pieces instead of one. - Mask: 3T-4T size was too tight on his head, but 4-6 size is too big and wiggles around so he can't really use it as a mask, but maybe as a hat. Overall, I think this costume is good if used just for couple of hours. My kid's daycare is having a Halloween party and he is gonna wear this to his daycare, but I can't imagine him wearing this all day long, or even more than 2 hrs.

Fit as expected. Really nice head piece.

My Son is five and is the same size as most of his classmates. I would say he is average size and also wears a size 5 in his normal clothing. I ordered the size large toddler for this costume and it fit my Son perfectly. I love the head piece for this costume. Well made and set him apart from all the other optimus primes with a plastic mask. My son loved his costume and was a big hit in the neighborhood.

Mask doesn’t stay on too well, but it held up

This costume is cute, and my son loved it. He had a little trouble keeping the mask part on since it only goes down so far, but we’ve certainly gotten our money’s worth out of it.

it was just okay..fabric could have been more thicker/firmer, seemed kinda cheaply made, however my son thoroughly enjoyed the outfit and thats what that matters

Very happy with material and my son loved it he was very happy and excited. We got the large size and my son is 5.

Sizing

I have not taken this costume out of the package yet as it is a Christmas present, so I can't review the quality, but I did want to report back on the sizing since I couldn't find much info on it when I was purchasing. I got the Large. It is size 4-6 (39"-47" & 36-47 pounds). I would then assume that the Medium is a 2-4 size.

Held up well, would buy again

Exactly what I was looking for. Despite feeling quite filmsy, it had held up really well to almost daily play. The headpiece is well made. We will use it until he outgrows it, and then buy the next size. Highly recommend if your kiddo is Optimus Prime crazy like mine!

Fits tight and small on my 6year old. Wouldn’t last him too long.
