Works Well, suggest buying 2 so you can have one charged & ready to go!

I would have given this a 5 star rating if the batteries would last longer before needing charged. Do yourself a favor & buy 2! Shop Foreman at our Dealership has 2.

Decent light battery don’t last long

Have older version I thought my battery was getting weak so ordered new one cause I can’t find old style battery. (New battery would work in old light for me) The charge seems to not last as long as my old light.

Charge it often

Only use it to find the problem, after the problem is found if it’s gonna take any time to fix it get a light that’s made for that. Otherwise I love it and use it all the time it’s definitely a mechanics essential in the shirt pocket.

Easy to carry, great clip, bright long lasting light

All flashlights are different. I learned the value of this light is in always being able to have a bright light with you, that lasts a long time. It's so light you don't realize you are carrying it on your person. While changing my starter, although I had a shop light directly on the subject, it just wasn't enough, and I pulled out the flashlight and cast a nice bright light to see the detail in the shadows I needed. The light comes with a very well designed clip, they secures the flashlight extremly well, yet easy to remove. Far easier than using a sheath. Stores well in the leg pocket of my jeans. I carry it 100 percent of the time. I bought most of the high end Coast flashlights and love them all. This has some real advantages I don't want to go without ever again. Bought one for my Dad he loved it so much when I showed it to him. I also bought an extra battery to carry for backup yet haven't run the first one down to need the second one. Still for the price I recommend a backup battery. Easy to charge and easy to swap batteries. I highly recommend. Thank you for your time. I hope this helps.

Needs Work ????

Things I love... - type C charging - adjustable focus - Li-ion battery - No strobe feature - green color (easy to find if I drop it at night) Things I don't love... - tailcap button is hard to press. Really hard to press. You can't use your thumb. I have to use my index finger. Even then I have to push HARD. Which is a real hassle. I'd return it because of tail button but it really is a nice flashlight other than this one issue. Pictures are high and low

Mechanic light

I found out about this light from someone at work. I use it countless times every day while working on or inspecting cars. An indispensable tool to have in your shirt pocket. Some people complain about the included battery overheating. I charge it overnight on USB current. It doesn't even get warm that way. Using the high beam setting for about a minute will get the bulb end of the flashlight far hotter than that. I've never hooked it up to a rapid charger, which may be what causes battery swelling for some people. I've dropped it a couple times on concrete and it didn't even get scratched. Better quality than the SnapOn and Matco penlights. I will definitely get another one if this one wears out.

Poor on-off button design

The brightness of the light and the focus is as good as its competitors or better. The one outstanding problem is the on-off button. It is too recessed at the top of the pen to be able to easily push it. Holding the light on is straightforward with a shallow push but to turn it on requires a deeper push which cannot be done with a normal size thumb. You have to hold the pen with one hand and place your index figure from the other hand on the button to push it deep enough to get the switch to click on. Amazingly bad ergonomics.

Perfect size and weight for an everyday inspection light

As a mechanic, vi carry this light with me all day at work. Had the perfect combination of size and weight to carry in my shirt pocket. Very bright and focusable light. The battery itself has its own usb-c charging port so u can buy a separate battery to have one ready and waiting to swap out for continued use. They only flaw is that the light gets really hot when left on for over a minute.
