I can confirm, this will fit a dual fuel Northstar lantern. The one powered by white gas / coleman fuel / gasoline. This lantern is also called a model 2000 or 2000B. ALL YOU HAVE TO DO is either slide the rubber base up a little bit, or remove it. It fits firmly into the bottom piece, a little tighter than expected, but still as though it was designed to do so... be careful not to break the mantle while snapping it into place! I do wish they made the old side opening cases for newer liquid fuel lanterns, but they don't, and this really isn't a bad case. It is so much better than nothing. A more secure latch would be great, but I have 2 of these, and have not had a lantern fall out, or one of the plastic tabs/latches break. I love my 2 white gas lanters, campground and car camping WOULD NOT be the same without them, the gentle wisper they make, the softness, and unique feel of the light, the reliability, ease of use, convenience, and wonderful atmosphere that they cannot be duplicated... not by propane, not by butane, and definitely not at all by LED. Sadly, these lanterns are a seeingless and less use... "collectors" (horders) are removing the from service just to have them collect dust, folks are throwing them away, or letting them fall into disrepair, and though there are many out there, production is decreasing, and so is the availability of parts to keep them going. Keep yours safe in a case! Keep it running, use it to draw those who might sit in an RV in electronic light, in front of a TV outside, to the picnic table to tell stories, play cards, or even just to enjoy the ambiance with a light that doesn't fight the night, but creates a hub of warmth to enjoy the night in. I have spent many hours of my life sitting in the glow of a white gas lantern, going back to some of my earliest memories... keep these special lights safe and running for the next generation!
