A noticeable effect on my ankle swelling. I'm way pleased!
I've had increasing pitting edema in my ankles and lower calves for several years now - and my small but numerous spider veins in my feet and ankles have been getting worse and seemingly more numerous. And this has been happening even with regular lymphedema massages, blood pressure meds, etc. I started wearing these three weeks ago (every day, all day except when sleeping) and my lower legs have gone back to normal size and the pitting is gradually reducing as well. It's really quite a dramatic improvement and more than I expected from a simple external physical piece of cloth. Note: I'm sticking to 15-20 mmHG of compression for now - the lowest level - I would only go higher on a doc's recommendation. This is advice I got on the Web MD site, btw. To be complete in my review, I've also thrown away the salt shaker on doc's orders and added a number of supplements to my dietary regimen that have mild diuretic effects - and have started to spend at least half an hour a day with my legs raised above my heart - so it's partly a combination of approaches, but the decrease was immediate and noticeable with the socks. Using the "get the rolled up part past the heel" and then pulling them up I haven't found them that hard to put on. Getting them back over the heel when I take them off is actually a little harder, but the trick is to get any of the upper part past the heel and then, boom, they pull right off. The package says they're OK for warm water washing and low-temp drying, but at this price, I'm washing them in cold water by hand and drying them on a towel rack overnight - and they do dry fully. They seem well-made and likely to be durable. I also bought a $9.98 pair of another brand at Target for comparison, and they're clearly flimsier and less compressive, and I expect they'll lose their therapeutic qualities in not that long. I do intend to try some other brands that are in-between in price - and I'd like a few colors and styles since I've given up a whole full drawer of many socks for two pairs of these so far. But I've learned that Jobst are considered the gold standard by many, so glad I started with a pair of these.

These Are Simply The BEST.
Exactly the ones I needed, and can no longer get in town--the one place that sold this particular model of compression sock discontinued them. I find these far superior to other compression socks of the same support level for several reasons: 1. The heel and toe, though thin, are VERY durable, and the heel is well formed--so you always know which way is "up", so to speak. 2. The wide band at the top of the sock holds them firmly--WITHOUT ROLLING. My legs are short, and compression hose will often roll at the top, turning into the equivalent of a heavy duty hair tie--very painful, and potentially hazardous. These ones do NOT form a roll at the top when I fold them over to fit my legs--no more deep indentations in the tops of my calves after a long day or when I nap in them 3. They hold their shape, and their compression value, far longer than any other socks I have tried to date--even other "heavier" socks. Yet they are still relatively cool, and the breathe well--so no overly sweaty feet or athlete's foot. If you haven't tried this particular type of Jobst sock yet, and you're looking for one with this firmness of support--THESE ARE THE ONES. I am going to be ordering 2 or 3 more pairs now that the holiday madness has passed, so I have extras on hand. I may even order more than that--since you never know when great things are going to disappear. By far the most comfortable and durable compression socks I have ever worn.

The product is the most comfortable for the price that I have found
I have been wearing this product for about 15 years. When you have to wear this type of product, comfort is important. The product is the most comfortable for the price that I have found. The only problem that I have had is that occasionally I get a pair that seems to be weak in the toe area.

Works great after major foot surgery
My husband loves these socks; he smashed his foot and was sent home from the hospital with instructions to wrap his foot in ace bandages over the surgical sites for several months. When he asked his P/A if he could buy compression socks, she said, "That's a good idea." It was a GREAT idea, as the ace bandages either seemed to be too tight, or too loose, and were a pain to put on each day. These socks have kept the intense swelling at bay, and now five months post-op, my husband still wears them as they not only reduce swelling, but minimize pain.

Bought a pair of these support socks for my husband. They fit very well and wash easily. They also dry overnight which is a great advantage. (I taught him to wash them and he learned quickly.) They're a little difficult to put on and take off, but that's to be expected. Turn inside out with just the toe portion right side out, place over toes and roll the rest of sock over foot and up the leg. When removing, start at top and roll down until completely off. He got his first pair at a medical supply store so we knew size was correct.

Work well for mild - moderate edema
I have a few pair for use during mild to moderate episodes of edema in my lower legs. In the summer heat they are barely bareable: perhaps a male sock made using material more like the material used in the women's sheer sock should be designed for use by men during hot summer days.

Excellent fit and compression except too tight on my toes. I would have liked to have tried an open toed version, but could not find one in this style.
