Poor quality and very heavy

After seeing this online, I decided to purchase the caketopper for my cake. The caketopper arrived in what I thought to be sturdy packaging, but alas, when I opened the box one of the birds was broken. The legs had broken off from the body. I attempted to glue it back together but it would not stay, so I had to break off the legs of the other bird in order to make them look uniform. However, the birds did look cute without the legs. Although, had I received the caketopper earlier, I would have surely returned it. Also, word of caution, the base of the caketopper is very heavy. The bakery told me that had we used the base, we would have had to have told them early on because the top layer of the cake would have had to have been structured to withstand the heavy base.

Break easily and don’t stay upright

When removing the packaging, the legs broke off one of the birds right away. I was able to glue it back together but the other birdie wouldn’t stay upright. The weight kept forcing it to topple forward. They’re cute but not very well made.

Looks cute, but why should i have to get out my super glue?

The birds arrived in a small box with scant packaging. The legs of both birds had popped off, but my husband managed to glue them both back on. I don't think they use a strong enough adhesive in the first place. Besides that, they looked adorable on top of our small two-tier wedding cake.

Not bad for the price

The legs were independent from the birds body when I opened the package but it was easily superglued back on. Great for the price, very cute...I love it!

Item not adequately packed for shipping...twice.

I recently purchased this item from Ivy Lane Design Wedding Accessories and when I received it, it was completely crushed. I went through the process to exchange it, and just received the second one. It too, was improperly packed, and broken when I received it. I am extremely frustrated that I have to go through the return process again.
