I bought these same casement fasteners before in a different finish and they were easy to install and use, however the ones with the oil-rubbed bronze finish were really difficult to turn and some of them barely moved. I found that I had to spray each of them with a bit of WD-40 to get them to work, but then I had no problems with them afterwards.

Good price, but beware

They break. Good price, but beware. The first time we pulled on one, it snapped. I can see why, looking at the design. The handle just sits in the base with a slight flare-out pattern. Just pull very slowly and carefully. And maybe order a few extra.

Poor quality finish

I installed these, and then put blue painter's tape over them to protect them while working on the sash. When I removed the tape (which was for delicate surfaces, by the way), the oil-rubbed bronze finish came right off with the tape, revealing primer or metal underneath. The "finish" appears to just be paint. I was fooled by the Schlage name into thinking these would be good quality - don't make the same mistake I did. Keep shopping.

these were pretty small, they are working ok, but i expect i will buy slightly bigger ones at some point in the future.
