Clear and soft

I ordered this set of masks for my son, who has the kinds of skin challenges that charcoal masks often address. I figured it would be fun to check out different options from this line. Although in general he's not a fan of paper masks (me either), he thought all three were effective at cleaning out the pores and refreshing the skin, and because he had extra peel-off mask material, I got to try that one too. His skin looked amazing after the masks. I wasn't expecting any miracles for my old face, and thus I was surprised and impressed how much of a difference it made. My skin felt soft, and the household critics agreed that my skin looked smoother and better toned. I've tried a lot of masks and this is the first one where anything happened, positive or negative. (Note that my skin is thick -- I won't compare it to leather or anything gross like that, but it's not sensitive or easily reddened.) Caveat: I didn't watch the clock, and by the time I noticed the mask was dry, it was DRY. At first I thought I might have to wear the mask forever, as my son explained why I didn't want to wash it off, but with renewed encouragement, I continued rubbing away and eventually got it off. Most of it. The remainder I managed to remove by dabbing carefully with a face cloth. And it did stick to my hair, but that's on me for not following directions, a habitual shortcoming of mine. I note that the full-sized version of this product has iffy ratings, but I like the results so much -- caveat aside -- that I will buy a tube.

Love these fun masks that are vegan and leaping bunny certified.

This is a great way to try all three masks and see which is best for you. Overall each mask has it's own properties for what you are looking for and I will rotate them based on what my goals are for my skin. I don't expect miracles from these but they are such a relaxing destresser in my life. The mud mask utilizes a thick formula with clay that helps to absorb the impurities out of your face. I apply this liberally and leave on for 15-20 minutes which is longer than what they say you need.. but hey mama needs some relaxation time! Then rinse my face off. I can tell my face feels a lot softer and smoother after using this one. The paper mashk: If you don't like a tingling sensation then these masks are definitely not for you. They are thick, but not super goopy and the sensation starts immediately. After about 10 minutes I felt the tingle go down, removed the mask and gently patted the remaining serum into my face. I didn't have any facial sensitivity or redness after application. The peel mask: I applied liberally and left the mask on for about 25min as I relaxed in the bath. Then the fun came where I gently peeled it off. I got it off in about 4-5 different pieces and off came dead skin as well as impurities. I could visually see things being pulled out that was super satisfying and it didn't leave my face red or sensitive. Overall for $9.99 its a great way to try them out or enjoy each for the properties they bring!

Nice variety pack of masks!

This review is for Yes To Tomatoes Detoxifying Charcoal Variety Masks (mud + Peel + Paper) - 3 Pack. This is a nice variety pack if you want to try out the masks to see which ones you like and which ones work well for you. It includes a paper sheet mask, a peel off mask and a mud mask. I personally didn't care for the paper mask but I normally do not like masks like this. I find the fit odd on my face and in most cases, way too bog. It also didn't stay on well for me but that is normal with these masks for me. The peel off and the mud masks were nice. I think you need to leave them on longer than what the directions say. Overall I liked having a variety pack to try before I commit to the kind of mask I want to use. I also do like charcoal masks so if you don't have experience with them, this is a good set to purchase to see if charcoal masks are for you.

Nice change

I haven't found another face mask as effective as my Aztec Secret clay mixed with apple cider vinegar, but it's a pretty intense mask so I like to alternate it with something a little bit lighter. These were a nice change and I loved that I didn't have to scrub them off of my skin. They smelled nice and while the Yes To products don't have the absolute cleanest ingredients, they're not bad.

Fun way to try all three

I tried all three. Mud, Peel, and Paper. There was PLENTY of mud mask included with the package which was nice! The paper mask felt more solid than paper and was so wet that I was able to save it and use it twice. However, it didn't stick well to my face either time, as it was so big that it didn't contour to my face and it still had the eye hole pieces attached to it that I didn't know what to do with them. This was my least favorite one and I don't think it did anything, though I did find it refreshing to my skin. I felt like my skin was awakened afterward. With none of the products did I feel like they harmed my skin in any way, they felt refreshing and it was fun to use them.
