We loved this product

We used it for bacon, sausage, and hamburger patties. It was easy to use and clean.

Sturdy and heavy

I bought this bacon press to make smash burgers and it works great! Make sure you spray nonstick spray on it and no problem. I will also use it for bacon, maybe other things I love it.

It works

Well, it is a cast iron paper weight. Clean it good and oil it with heat. You could probably just start cooking after scrubbing the sticky coating off they use for protection, but I like to season things. Nice product and will probably handed down to my granddaughter one day.

Luv ma Meat Press!

I am a decent cook and have struggled for a long time to make burgers taste like Steak n' Shake does em. My meat press did it, voila! I cured the press via online instructions so it's non stick, easy to clean (no soap) to stay non stick. I found the less I handle or press the ground beef before it enters to hot skillet the better. I crack fresh pepper on it first, drop it in the pan, press firmly for thin style ( the way I like em) for about 2 minutes each side add my cheese ...and salt after it's on the bun. Salting beef before you cook it dries meat out, learned that from my Grampa who worked at Armour Meats for 30+ years. Does bacon up great. Luv ma Bacon Press!

Not the easiest thing to clean....but it works well for keeping bacon flat. Also, I wish it came in a larger size. I took a tip from another reviewer who recommended purchasing two and that was beneficial. To be honest, I would recommend buying three. Especially if you have a flat griddle (a larger rectangular one) and fill it with bacon. The cute pig design is fun, but honestly makes it harder to get food out of the crevices.
