Excess stock?

I've owned several pairs of these over the years and still love them. IMO, they go well with everything, formal and casual. The price here is what I would expect to pay, but only after I received them did I realize something... I won't say 'fishy' but 'peculiar'. Which is, these are sold online by the brand at literally twice the price. Mine arrived in new condition (incl. original packaging), but were within a plastic bag and smelled like a rubber factory. I'm not even exaggerating on the smell. I washed them, which helped, but I'm thinking they may require three washes before they lose that smell. So, did these 'fall off a truck', are they excess stock, did someone get an incredible distribution deal? Who knows. Still, great pair of gloves at this price. I just have to get that smell out.

Really like the elastic in these gloves

I had a pair of gloves that I keep in a leather jacket, and which I really liked. Unfortunately I managed to lose one of them somewhere, so I came back to Amazon to find a replacement. I found these gloves, and order them on the basis of try before buy. Turns out these are identical to the ones I originally had. I really like it when there is a classic design that keeps on being made. That alone shows that the have lasting appeal. If I should ever lose a glove again I can only hope it is the left one this time.

I would say they are as good as Isatoners at a 3rd the price but they are a little snug...not a deal breaker, I love them
