High Quality...Just Didn't work for Me

The post that comes out of the lock and into your door was simply too short for us, we had some decorative trim work that pushed it out a bit. As a result, we had to return the locks. I'd be careful unless your door is fairly close to the frame. This is the best looking and smoothest operating barn door offering out there but, if it doesn't fit, well...

Great lock for barn doors!

I had a barn door on a powder room with a slightly wider than normal clearance and I had been struggling to find a way to lock it. After an extensive search, I found this. It works perfectly. For transparency's sake, I'll say this is not your typical DIY lock, so I hired an experienced carpenter. It took him roughly 90 mins but it was well worth it. It looks great and exceeded my expectations.

Get this Lock for your Barn Door

We bought this product to serve as a lock for a bathroom barn door. The contractor, Lowe’s, and Home Depot all said you could not lock a barn door without buying a latch. We ordered this product and proved them all wrong. This is a great ingenious product and serves its purpose. It’s just a reverse deadbolt that bolts into the door instead of the door frame. After installation, it looks good also.

impossibly difficult to install!

I've been an interior trim carpenter foor over 40 years and this is the worst product I've found as far as difficulty of installation. I ordered it for a customer ahead of time and when I discovered that it would not work without a wood jamb I tried to return it. NO luck there because of a thirty day return limit. I guess they get a lot of these returned.

Ingenious design

A perfect solution to locking a barn door without having the locking mechanism interfering with your walk way. Solid unit that looks great and the ability to unlock the door with the provided key is great.

Very good latching mechanism for the price

This little device is a great value. It does take some finesse to get it dialed in, but it is rock solid once it is.
