Good value

This is my second pair I have purchased, the first pair finally wore out after 10 years. I use them only during the winter for snow removal and firewood moving, still 10 years is a long time for any glove. I still haven't thrown the old ones away, I can still use the until the holes get to big.????

Durable and warm

I bought a pair of these years ago at SAMS. Really happy o find the exact same gloves. After all these years one glove’s inner lining has begun to separate at the cuff Definitely got my money out of them.

Not for weather under 30

Purchased for my son He thought they were nice and warm working in 30° Weather but will not keep his hands warm when it starts dropping below that For the price they seem like nice gloves but I’ll need to look for something warmer as it gets colder

Undersized

Ordered 2 pair of size large. I’ve worn that glove size always, and couldn’t even get my hand into the glove. They had to be returned for XL. I expect performance similar to other Wells Lamont gloves, but haven’t had a chance to try them out yet and confirm.

I needed to buy a larger size because they are insulated.

I needed to return them for the extra-large size. This was apparently because they are insulated. The uninsulated version fits me in the large size as do most gloves.

Not Made For Colder Canadian Climates

The first time I used them, it wasn't near as cold as it can often get here during the winter. I bundled up warmly for cold weather, put on my new "cold-resistant insulated" gloves, went outside with the snow blower and blew snow for about 35-40 minutes at -20c. My fingers, and thumbs in particular (is there less insulation in the thumbs?), were cold, numb and stinging from the cold prior to my even completing the task. Subsequent tests confirmed they are not made for colder weather. I have had other gloves with 3M Thinsulate that did a much better job of keeping out the cold at even more bitter temperatures. In their favour, the gloves do look and feel nice and, if you don't have to deal with extreme cold, appear to be well made.

not what was advertised

There was only one pair of gloves, not two like it said. The gloves are very good and I would give it top rating if I had gotten both pair. I contacted Amazon customer service and they gave me a 50% discount because there was only one pair of gloves. So I've updated my rating to 5 stars.

THESE GLOVES ARE JUST O.K.

I recently gave the WELLS LAMONT Men's Lined HydraHyde Winter Leather Work Gloves, a test when I spent three hours cleaning my, and my neighbours, snow. They were just O.K. Based on some of the reviews I expected my hands to be "toasty warm" throughout the whole time outside with my snowblower. My hands didn't freeze, but they were not as warm as I was led to believe. In fact after a short period of time cleaning snow they were fairly cold. On the plus side these gloves appear to be well made, and should last a long time.

Great for when you need high water resistant full leather insulated gloves.

Excellent quality gloves that are both waterproof and well insulated with good dexterity. They take a little while to loosen the leather up but afterwards they are great. I have medium/large skinny hands and these fit perfectly, my hand span is roughly 8 inches from pinkie tip to thumb tip spread out as far as possible.. my hands and wrists are relatively medium size though at 2 inches wrist width by 1.5 inches tall. So average size i guess? I work with liquid nitrogen all day, which is -196 degrees Celsius and also will absorb into non waterproof material. I lift the dewars full(60 lbs) repeatedly throughout the day with these and have frequently have the nitrogen poured by accident on these. They keep my hands warm, dry and the look like new after 6 months(little bit of dirt though)!

I got a bad pair.

I used these for 3 days at work and they ripped. I drive a forklift, so I don’t do anything that would cause a tear. Also, they were not particularly warm. They felt nice and fit. My hands are small so they were a little long. Anyway, I was able to return them, hopefully the pair I replaced them with will be better.
