Several benefits but 2 key vulnerabilities and no replacements for them
I have had this Nuttery NCO01 about 5 months. For context, I have 6-7 regular grey squirrel banditos and lots (9 species) of bird visitors and one infrequent flying squirrel nighttime snacker. Pros: With my prior cheap open wire frame suet feeder squirrels would eat nearly a suet cake a day, with this feeder suets last 4-5 days. Smaller birds love it especially Hairy and Downy woodpeckers. Easy to fill and to clean. It has an attractive design and suets are weather protected. Reasonably priced. Note: Took about two weeks for the birds to get used to the feeder. Cons: 2 Vulnerabilities: Grey Squirrels have chewed away significant amount of the bottom plastic base for the suet cake which also serves as the screw hole for a pole(see photo). It still works but barely. They also chewed the plastic silver sleeves the front latch snaps on to. For short term fix I put some glue on one sleeve that was on verge of falling off. This feeder serves as no deterrence to the skinny flying squirrels(whom I don’t really mind using it) . My backyard Cardinals,Blue Jays and Red Bellied Woodpeckers do not use it (but did frequent my prior suet feeder). I have attempted to contact Nuttery (via their listed parent World Source Partners website) once via email and then by their online CS form asking about replacement parts and have not received any response. I didn't see a CS phone#. I saw another post to Amazon Q&A about replacement parts and no response. Bottom line: If the squirrels render the bottom plastic base completely useless or chew off the latch sleeves, I probably will buy a different squirrel proof suet feeder since it appears the seller does not sell replacement parts.

Feeds the birds, NOT the squirrels!
This feeder is both sturdy and attractive. We bought it because we have a vibrant squirrel population in our forested backyard and the squirrels have found their way in to and monopolized every previous "squirrel-proof" bird feeder/contraption we've put out. Great news! After 2 months this feeder is constantly full of birds - but! the squirrels cannot access the suet blocks despite daily attempts to get in. A few notes: there are very few plastic parts in this feeder, but one sits on the bottom of the cage, so the squirrels have chewed away all of the parts they can get their teeth on- this does not affect the function of the feeder at all. Also, we are entertained daily by squirrels awkwardly clinging to the cage (which makes it swing wildly) and sticking their tongues in towards the suet - it's cute and funny to watch, but they don't appear to actually get anything. Today for the first time I saw that a tiny baby squirrel had climbed into the cage- no big deal, he'll grow out of the ability soon. The clip to close the lid is extremely sturdy and requires 2 human hands to open.

We finally beat the squirrels
We spent about 20 minutes today watching a squirrel unsuccessfully try to get the suet out of this feeder. The darn thing tried everything---repeatedly and from every angle---and was very frustrated. We, however, were delighted (and laughed a lot)! It gnawed on the metal caging until I couldn't believe there wasn't blood coming from its mouth. I looked at the feeder afterwards and there was no sign of the gnawing, which is amazing because I know from experience that squirrels have VERY sharp teeth that can tear through just about anything. The squirrel could put its head through the outer cage, but its head was slightly too big to reach the inner cage which contains the suet. Small birds like sparrows can actually get into the chamber to feed, while larger birds like woodpeckers, blue jays and doves have beaks that are large enough to reach the suet from the outer part of the cage. Pretty ingenious design.

Just what I needed
It was hard to commit to the price, but so glad I did. This is perfect for my porch. The squirrels get enough seed from my open tray, but this guarantees that the birds always have a treat. A little awkward for the larger woodpeckers but we still get all our backyard birds. Only complaint is that there is some plastic on the bottom of the internal feeder that of course the squirrels have nibbled away at.

Big thumbs up
So far so good. When I put in a brand new cake, one immature squirrel could barely get his head through. Another can fight his hands.through to barely scrape some seeds. But for the most part, they've given up. The smaller birds hope right in, including the downy and hoary WPs. The red-headed and red-bellied have long enough beaks that they can use it too. Made very sturdy. It's tough for me to open. All metal parts. Worth the price.

Stops Squirrels but Grackles and Starlings get in
I bought this to stop the squirrels from devouring the suet blocks and it worked great, but. The Grackles and the Starlings can shove their upper bodies into the cage and eat the suet by turning their bodies sideways. The rectangle opening is to long to block the Grackles and Starlings. Either reduce the rectangle size or the outer cage diameter needs to be increased by several inches so they can't reach the suet. They are both bullies and chase off the woodpeckers.

Excellent feeder except for unsightly sticker on front
Love this snazzy looking feeder, and so do all kinds of birds. It has a clever latch for opening it to clean and fill, and its shape is pleasing to the eye. One star off because of a large sticker across the front of the lid that's nearly impossible to remove, and isn't worth the energy to scrub off! The photo in the ad doesn't show it, and I was disappointed to find it on what is otherwise a very well-made and pleasing product.

Birds are VERY slow to try it.
It took over a week fore the first birds to land near on a branch and examine it. Now, only small woodpeckers will enter it. Nuthatches are confused and befuddled. Squirrels don’t bother it, but neither do most birds. This is with snow covered ground. I am willing to give it a few more weeks, but the lack of activity is disappointing.
