No more tire marks on the wall

Installation was very easy. I elected to use adhesion instead of screw mount. Would have been ideal if the tape used had been Command strips though. For wall mounts, you may need 2...front and back tire if your hanging hook does not have an integral tray. Has worked well for me with 2 bikes to prevent black scuffs and moisture damage to the wall. Very simple to use and install.

simple effective tire tray

I intended to screw these down. Photos looked to include two screw holes, but they are not pierced through. A quick drill or even using a self-tapping screw would take care of that. An adhesive strip (2.5 inch) is included already stuck to the back. Tray fits ~2.5 inch tire and has holes that could be used to run a tie down strap through to secure the wheel.

Just what you need and reasonable cost

Just what you need to protect your wall if hanging from an existing hook or above floor storage. I thought about getting dark plexiglass instead and it’s way more expensive for that to cover an area for where two tires touch over 24in or so. Sturdy design

Won't stick (for a long time) to textured walls

I have purchased 2 of these to go with my Clug wall mount but in both instances the piece of adhesive gives out about a month into using it and falls off. I've replaced the adhesive strip with no luck. Unless your wall is perfectly flat without any texture it will probably not work. I suggest they include a pre-drilled hole for buyers who want to just use a screw. So I now have to place the tire tray on the wall by hand as clip my bike to the Clug and with the weight of the rear wheel it stays on. If I knew this was going to happen I would have just placed painters tape on the spot on the wall where the tire touches. Or maybe it's worth installing with a tougher glue if you now you're not going to move it for a long time.

This is the most intense tire tray anyone could ever purchase. Caveat: DO NOT PLACE THIS ON THE WALL INCORRECTLY. You have one and only one shot to get this right. Maybe it's just because my apartment was more humid than usual, maybe it's because the drywall hasn't been redone since the 80s, I DON'T KNOW. But when I placed this on the wall, it was at a slight angle, so I tried to pull it off to adjust (I really, really like parallel lines). NOPE. A good 2 square inches of drywall came off with it. MEASURE TWICE PLACE ONCE

Cleaner bike storage.

Great way to keep bike tires from soiling your walls especially if you have to hang your bike in a small apartment. I didn’t bother using the included wall anchors and screws. The adhesive backing is more than enough since it is really not under any load.

Easy setup but sticky tape is the wrong attachment method - detached from wall after 4th time I used it

Update June 2, 2012: I was initially happy with this product. You can rad my initial review below and see that it was an easy setup and I thought the product to be good at what it does. The 4th time I used it however the tray detached from the wall, taking some paint with it. The wheel had moved SLIGHTLY in a lateral direction while I was hanging the bike and that was enough. I notice now that there are some perforated holes in the tray that would allow you to pretty easily put 2 screws through them. That's great and probably what I will end up doing to reattach it. Former title: Easiest possible install and it works. Having a friend help with the install saves your wall a couple of scuff marks. I purchased this as a companion to theRacor B-1R Solo Vertical Bike Rack I purchased. Paired together you get an efficient way to store your bike. I cannot possibly explain how simple the install of this product is. After you install the Bike Rack Hook, you hang your bike and have a friend make a mark on the wall where the bike's back tire touches the wall. You use the sticky tape included with the Tire Tray to attach it to the wall, and then use the weight from the hanging bike's back wheel to hold it in place. That's it. My only complaint, if you can call it that, is that I have a certain sense of buyer's remorse when it comes to theRacor B-1R Solo Vertical Bike Rack I purchased. The product works fine (as long as you can find a wall stud to mount it in to and I fortunately have a stud finder in my toolbox) but I subsequently discovered theCycloc Popsicle Wall Mounted Bike Rack: Orange , which while being MUCH more expensive is aesthetically and space-wise more appealing.
