Image has several collections within their skin care line. This Intense Facial Illuminator is part of their Iluma collection, which is formulated to diminish dark spots and hyperpigmentation. This goes on like a serum, and can be used as such, but it is really a pre-serum--use before your other serums. After I wash and tone my face, I add a few drops all over. It is a clear, light, non tacky slightly viscous "serum". While there is no added fragrance/parfum, there are ingredients that lend to the light fragrance. I see that it has orange oil, limonene, geranium, and citronelle. Has a very faint rose aroma, which I attribute to the citronelle.. It does not linger, and it is not strong. This product is from a quality company, and I have been using a variety of their products over the past few years. Some I like more than others, and overall have found them effective. It is a matter of finding the right products for your needs. I am using a couple of other brands to address brightening, so I am not sure how much more I will see with this. What I like is how well it absorbs, how I dont feel like I put anything on, and that it really doesnt take much to cover face. Sometimes I add a drop to the back of my hands or anywhere I have a dark spot. This will be my summer brightening product as my current product is more of a cream. This is so lightweight that I can easily and quickly move onto other products without concern of product pilling/rolling. I'd say that this is for anyone who wants to address dark spots and brighten the skin overall. There are other products in this line that compliment each other, but this can be use alone with your other products. Definitely make sure to use SPF as any sun induced hyperpigmentation will keep coming back if skin isn't protected from rays.
