I thought this hat would fit differently. Expensive....would have returned but did not wear it until my vacation and by then it was too late.

This is a wonderful visor. I was looking for something that would allow the sun to give me some natural highlights in my hair and still fully protect my face and ears from the sun. With an open top and a 4 1/2" brim, at the front, this visor does what I want very well. A UPF of 50+ blocks 98+% of UVA & UVB Solar Rays. If you need protection at the back of the neck, this will not do that. The brim at the front is about 4 1/2 inches, but it does taper down to 1 inch or less in the back where it meets. It has an adjustable Velcro closure at the back, which does not bother me at all. It is a women's one size fits all, however, if you have a really small head, this could end up a bit big. My hat size is 6 5/8, and my head measures 21 1/4 inches (hat area); When I Velcro the visor as small as it will go, it is comfortable and stays in-place, but not tight enough to leave a hat mark on my forehead. However, if I didn't have my hair over the top, it just might be loose enough to fly off on a windy day. No worries about brim damage, this visor can be easily rolled like a funnel and has an attached elastic band to loop around it to keep it rolled up for easy storage or travel. I like this hat a lot and I'm glad I bought it. I would like it even more if it had a little bit bigger brim at the back of the neck and it could be snugged down a little more on windy days -- then it would be perfect! Then it would be a five star visor!

This hat is NOT 50+ UPF! The visor is only loosely knitted that sunlight shines though.

Before this, I tried a few at lower price on the first page search results. I was so disappointed that the slightly cheaper ones are like papers, without a shape. This brand is good and I found it on Macy’s. But Macy’s delivery takes too long usually a week or more by USPS. That’s why I tried Amazon “ try out option” and got two different designs. Like both of them and just keep both. Really like this brand. Don’t understand how those poor quality ones have so many 5 star reviews and keep themselves on the first page. Forget about them and get a proper brand which has a history for a decade worldwide.
