Great light for the price!

The 1st light I ordered did not work, but it was easily replaced by Amazon. I ordered this light to install in a shared back stairwell between the rental and owners unit. When the existing light died; I thought I'd take the opportunity to install a nicer, integrated motion sensing light. I'd had a motion sensing light socket installed originally that was functional and not attractive. With the integrated motion sensing lights mostly having a dawn to dusk feature - with no daytime operation, they would not work for our dark back stairwell. The motion sensors also didn't appropriately react to movement up and down the stairs. I researched a LOT of motion lights trying to find the right look and functionality, to no avail. I ordered this light specifically because the measurements of the light cage seemed that they would accommodate the bulb AND the motion sensing socket. They do - barely! This light is attractive and perfect style for an older home. It does just what I was looking for. 3 stars due to broken 1st light and the fact that the plate screw tops are not deep enough to tightly screw the face plate on and I had to use my own shorter screws to make it work. Otherwise, 5 stars.

buying again!

great light for its value! we are putting about 3-4 other lights in at the moment around the house and this one was the easiest to mount so far. we mounted it on a old piece of barn wood to cover an existing opening. it’s going to look great once the bathroom is done! definitely would recommend.

DEFINITELY BROWN.. I would not call this oil rubbed bronze (that finish is always more of a black color). I would call this rough, dark copper. It needs to be sanded down as it's got the texture of sandpaper (not sure if on purpose or just manufactured that way) and since we're sanding them down anyway to paint them the correct color to match the rest of our fixtures it doesn't matter too much to us. They do seem to be solid and assembled well though, so 3 stars it is.
