Good price for a good product

Reduced number of pleats (reduced life) versus previous versions.

I have been using these and buying them from Amazon for about 5 years. The filters in the 3-pack I just received have 9 full pleats vs 12 in the one I still have left from my last purchase a couple of years ago. Airflow specs printed on the filters are unchanged, but pleat surface area has been reduced by 25%. I assume this lowers manufacturing cost, but it also reduces the life of the filter. Sort of like those cereal boxes that are the same size, but contain less ounces of product (shrinkflation?). The picture on the current Amazon listing actually has even more than 12 pleats, so even more surface area. Maybe such reductions have been going on for a while. I use these filters because they have a reasonable balance between MERV and airflow. Too much MERV decreases airflow and reduces HVAC efficiency. They also seem to last about 6-12 months, which may be decreasing now that HW is scrimping on the surface area. Buyer beware.

Does not fit well with my system

It was a bit too large and I had to squeeze down one side in order for it to fit in the cabinet for my furnace. Once I did so however it seems to be working well

Seems like a good product but make sure you measure the exact demisions

Turns out not all 20x25x4 are the same. Mine is just alitlle smaller.

Filters fit perfect in Honeywell 4" filtration system and they were very well packed with protected corners and arrived damage free.
