Worth the money

Unlike the cheaper filters I recently tried the Honeywell can be cleaned n reused as I need.

Box clearly states which products these filters work in, templates for cutting the pre-filters to size (based on your product), and HEPA filters true to size. No issues. I reorder as needed.

HEPA filter = good, prefilter = meh

Purchased this kit to replace the prefilter and HEPA filter in one of my purifiers and the first thing I noticed was the prefilter (like many of the other reviewers mentioned) is not the same as the one that came packaged with the purifier itself. The prefilter appears to be much more porous (hold up to light) and their was carbon particulates falling off of it. However, the actual HEPA filter we had no issues with. It might be poor quality control on the prefilter production run.

Pre-filter is of poor quality

The overall package value is great. Yet, the quality of the black pre-filter is very thin and flimsy; it doesn’t do as well as the original pre-filter, which is a lot thicker. I’m surprised Honeywell created this product. Because of the thinness, much of the finer dust particles gets past through to the HEPA filter, which significantly shortens its lifespan. I will never order this package again and will pay the higher price of the higher quality/thicker pre-filter (that you don’t have to cut/trim by Honeywell.

Fire Season Must-Have

This filter kept my two-bedroom, 800 squ ft apartment very tolerable during outside zero-visibility conditions from fire smoke. I taped up my windows and doors, and with this filter running day and night in a central location there was hardly any smoke smell indoors (I could smell the difference between myself and the house after going coming in from walking the dog for 5 minutes). I have a cat in my space as well as the dog, and being indoors so much due to COVID plus with both animals in the apartment this filter keeps me breathing easy and my surfaces almost dust-free.

The white filter fits but the black does not

I liked that the white filter is easy to install to replace the existing filter. However, the outer black filter is just a sheet of material very inferior to the existing filter. And it does not stop odors. In fact the air purifier now stinks. Other than that it is ok. If it had two different ratings, the white would be five stars and the black would be one or less. Probably should just throw the black stuff away. Honestly, there is nothing sheer about these filters.
