Manufacturers box was ripped open!

Even though the “Dirt Devil Scorpion Hand Vac” box was enclosed in an Amazon shipping box, the Manufacturer’s box had a big hole/rip in it, which scratched the unit! First impressions are everything and mine was upsetting! As the saying goes: “You never get a second chance to make a first impression”! Then, upon reading the Manual, which I might add was a scrunched mess, it appeared that I was missing the “Powered Stair and Upholstery Tool”! Upon Re-reading that section, I noticed an asterisk * which said: “Not all models have this feature”—even though it seems to indicate in the Manual that it was a part of the package(?) As far as the “Dirt Devil Scorpion Hand Vac” itself, I’ve only plugged it in to see if it worked and checked the suction which seems to be fine. If I find out otherwise when I vacuum my cars interior, I will post a second review.

This thing sucks but in a good way!

The suction power on this thing is exactly what we needed. I use it for quick cleanups and after pruning some indoor plants. The only thing I don't like is the location of the blower. If the nozzle extender isn't being used, the mess you're trying to clean up gets blown around. Other than that, this thing is great! Even on steps!

Powerful suction!

Extremely powerful suction. Great for cleaning up dust and pet hair. 5/5. Cord is decently long but sometimes not long enough for where I need to get to, but I knew what I was getting into when I bought a corded vacuum. Cannot over-emphasize how powerful this suction is.

Long cord and good suction

Great for the vehicles. Suction is good, filter is easy to clean, don't have to worry about losing suction as battery goes down like with battery powered tool, or losing power in general with cord.

Portable vacuum

Although I have a Dirt Devil, I was looking for a vacuum that would maneuver more easily in my automobile. This portable vacuum was the perfect solution for my needs. I am able to reach the tighter spaces in my vehicle that I was not able to vacuum with my Dirt Devil. Lightweight and portable make this vacuum a must for keeping my vehicle clean.

This little Dirt Devil is worth ever penny!

I absolutely LOVE this Dirt Devil hand vac. It's powerful and worth every single penny. After spending a small fortune on cordless hand vacs that barely worked, I decided to go with a corded have vac. DIRT DEVIL is the way to go.

Great for dust bunnies and around non-carpeted rooms

Great little Vacuum for small furniture or cleaning up dusty/cobwebby corners but not ideal for use on any size of actual carpet unless you want to feel like you're scrubbing a swimming pool with a toothbrush.

Versatile, powerful and OHHH that cord!!!

This thing straight out of the box was/is impressive!! It works WAY better than expected (unlike my cousin Sal, who honestly, if he applied himself, could be the best chair folder at the chair folding warehouse but alas, he hates getting OFF his own chair to do his dang job. Honestly Sal, if you are reading this, GET OFF YOUR CHAIR AND FOLD IT! You arent getting paid to just sit there, you get $0.25 for EVERY SINGLE CHAIR you fold! I mean cmon man, DO THE MATH! You can make a pretty buck if you could just focus and be the best chair folder since Manny Manuel, the chair folding record holder 1989. I BELIEVE in you Sal!) I digress...this thing really is great. The cord itself is super long. Longer than the record holding chair folding championship of Manny Manuel from 1989. Its extremely powerful but i will say, the filter seems to get full pretty quickly but it removes easily, and shakes away that dust and dirt easily. I havent tried it to see if it can handle wet things. I was thinking of collecting Sals sweat from his busy work day and see if this sucks it up but, read above, that wont happen. The only drawback I see is the hose they include with it to make it more flexible really is too small and isnt much more helpful than the built in crevice tool. I highly recommend this! I also recommend if you are looking for work, to apply to your local chair folders union as guys like Sal are making the industry look bad. SAL, CMON, GET WITH IT!

Buy a transformer if using in UK

Bought this little vacuum and it is super. We bought a 240v -110v transformer that took a USA plug from LVYUAN. Super vacuum and well worth going to the trouble of buying a transformer.

Powerful, loud, heavy

Let's say I'm reasonably happy with this handheld vacuum. But it has flaws. Here goes: HAPPY ABOUT: * Strong suction. * Very long cord. *Washable white filter which came with a grey foam over-filter for increased dust retention. *Excellent value with Amazon coupon applied at checkout. NOT HAPPY ABOUT: *Suction. Too strong for some jobs. The strength of the intake should be variable (similar to floor fan speeds). This vacuum could inhale throw rugs and small rodents (hmmm). *Noisy motor. Wear earplugs and prepare for the cat to hide under the bed. Neighbours might ask you to TURN IT DOWN! *Shoulder strap? I read a review that mentioned a shoulder strap to facilitate some vacuuming jobs. No strap included with this sucker. *Heavy compared to other hand vacuums. I can't imagine having to lift it for any length of time, say to vacuum drapes or a ceiling fan. I received the vacuum earlier today so I may or may not add to this review. If I do, I hope it's a positive update (=

Never buy this item too dangerous

Didn't get a chance to like this item. Soon as turned on, sparks were flying everywhere, and burning smell came of hoover, hoover doesn't work. Still waiting for someone to get back in touch, to return item and refund money.
