The best rocker

I love this rocker. The quality is very good as all of the Highwood products. It is large enough for big and tall folks as well. I can see ordering more of these rockers in the future because rocking chairs are just fun.

Very sturdy and nice looking. All the parts were there. Easy instructions. I love it! If a woman can put this together anybody can do it. I highly recommend it..

Heavy but durable

I have been looking for an outdoor rocking chair for several years. I saw the great reviews on this and decided to buy one to try it out. I just received it and finished putting it together. First of all, it is very heavy. I have to go up a flight of steps to get to my deck. I had to take it apart downstairs and bring it up a piece at a time. I had a little bit of a hard time putting it together. Don't even try with the stinking little tool that they give you. Use a power tool. After I got my drill and the proper bit, it went together fairly easily. As others have said, don't tighten everything until you're finished. There are rough spots here and there on the finish and some of the places look as if some of the finish has scraped off. There is not a chance I will return it because of the weight. It's a nice enough chair and it will suit my needs. Sits up up a little straighter than I would like. Update: I’ve had this chair for two years now and it still looks brand new. It’s been outside for two Northeast winters and has held up amazingly well. My only real complaint is that it isn’t very comfortable.

One out of 2 is bad

So I ordered 2 of these chairs. One arrived before the other. It was easy to put together and we love the chair. Now the bad news. I had to e-mail Amazon to find out about the second chair. They helped by rushing it to me today but when I opened it, I was surprised by a different chair than the first. Same company but a different design. It was also broken so I am glad it wasn't the right chair or it would have seemed worse. I am sending it back and hoping for a speedy delivery on the correct chair. I do love the first chair although this whole thing has put a sour taste in my mouth. So it has been about 8 days since my last review on these chairs. I received my new chair in the mail and to my surprise it is another design different from the first 2. It appears as if there are at least 3 different designs for the same chair. The new one seems to be the newest design with some upgrades from the first one I kept. I am deciding to keep the 2 chairs even though they are a bit different. I don't want to go through the process of repacking and shipping back again. I love them both, I just wish they were the same.

Comfortable,durable

Big folks in my extended family. Strong enough that the kids can all pile into it with its 500 lb. weight limit.
