Great warm and dry baselayer

Two different styles shown in same product

The fabric is very soft for being merino wool. Nice product. My complaint is with Amazon on the confusion of the product. I ordered Ebony color and it shows the pant has a front fly and an elastic band with the name Helly Hansen on it. When it arrived, the size and color were correct but it had no fly and the elastic waist was sewn inside the fabric. Obviously different from the picture. After going through the exchange process, it only allowed me to choose the dark blue color for $10 cheaper. Not bad, so I selected that color, instead. I then noticed the picture of the blue pair has no fly and hidden elastic. I am returning the first pair and I am not sure what I will get when the new pair arrives. As a male, I obviously need the fly. I don't know why companies make men's underpants without a fly. Luckily, this item has free returns.

Pretty thin material

Pretty thin material. Ordered a medium, 5'9" 180 lbs and the fit was really tight, like female yoga legging tight or tighter. Might have been better off with a larger size. Also seemed to droop in the crotch a little unless you pulled them up pretty high which made the legs not quite long enough. Felt much better without boxers on underneath. Didn't provide a huge amount of warmth on their own, but as a base layer below the Minus33 Merino base layer that I bought at the same time I stayed nice and toasty in the New Zealand winter on the South Island

Elastic is twisted inside very trouble some.
