Sturdy

Good for kids, very fun for play

blurry image & dirt trapped inside

The image is blurry from distorted and/or cheap mirrors and cardboard dust and pieces are trapped inside. I'm glad I have time to return it before my daughter's birthday. The exterior is cute and the bamboo is a nice touch, but it is worthless if it doesn't do what it is supposed to.

I see you; you don’t see me!

When faced with trying to compete with the “other grandparents” who spend lavishly on stuff that’s not really fun, I stepped back into my childhood for something fun and useful. A periscope is the perfect tool to check the top shelf of the freezer for ice cream without making a noise. Hee hee! And it’s fun for spying too. I should have ordered two!

My kid LOVES this! Got it for a child's 5th birthday gift

You can see around corners and into spaces you otherwise wouldn't fit into. My 5 year old loves it. Word of caution - don't submerge it in water or leave it outside overnight. It's very well made, but requires some care. Our son left it out overnight on accident, which got some moisture inside it. Good news is, it dried out and is just fine. But we're going to be more watchful. We love this and expect it to last a very long time.

Not very functional

I bought it to look into a crawl space and for my son to play with. I had something like this as a kid and enjoyed it. But this piece of junk has very small field of view (probably the mirrors used) and is useless for seeing anything more than three feet away.

Not bad, could be better

I bought this for my 6 year old son for Christmas, he hasn’t had any complaints, it’s super sturdy and feels quality. However after trying it myself it’s not clear at all, the image is distorted and blurry. Not fit for purpose really. I wouldn’t buy it again. Only giving it so many stars as my son hasn’t complained and seems to be happy with it - he must be easy pleased or just polite because I think most children would complain. I can see it falling into the depths of the toy box never to be seen again quite quickly!

Quality Fine - Kids Tired of it within 24 hours

My 6 year old asked for a pariscope for his 7th birthday. He was excited to get it and he and his 5 year old sister played with it on and off that day. 2 months later it hasn't been played with since. A 4 star rating is given because it is what it says it is. Rather cheesy plastic but fine for kids. Not a 5 star toy because my 5 and 7 year olds were bored with it pretty quickly as toys go.

Good product but not for humid places

We loved the product. It is fun but please dont buy it if you stay in humid climates. The bamboo catches mold very easily and it spoiled the lens and the mirror in our product.

DO NOT BUY - Waste of money

This product is terrible and Amazon should remove it from their store. Those that have given this product a positive review didn't look through the periscope themselves. Incredibly blurry! Your kids won't see anything when looking through it. A huge waste of resources, time, money.

Very well made periscope

Shipped very quickly, it was a little smaller than I expected, but we’ll made. The lenses are stationary so you can turn them on any other angle but forward. Bought it for my 5 year old nephew, I think he’ll love it.
