The app is not ready for prime time

Cool idea...not at all stable in practice. The documentation tells you to leave the light switch on and use the app to turn lights on and off. What? I need my phone and an app to use the kitchen lights? Yep...but that's when you're app locates your devices. Sometimes, it just sits there and spins for a while. After it gets bored of looking, it says that "We cant find your network right now". Come to find out....if you have the app on a couple phones, you may have to log out of all other devices to try again. To summerize: in order to follow the instructions...leave the light switch on and turn them on and off from the app...if it works. If not (which is about 35% of the time) you have to log out of all other devices that might be using the app. Like...say....a spouse's or kid's phone. What? So who might want to take a chance on this? Someone with a large kitchen that is illuminated all the time where the app 's features are rarely used. When it works, it's very cool to see the lights dim and change color temperature. It's a killer idea. But, IMO, it's just not ready yet. FYI ~ I have a strong AT&T signal and no connectivity issues with any other tech at home. Buy the Halo lighting system that is exactly like this one WITHOUT the Bluetooth feature. It will work great...but you have to use those pesky, old-fashioned light switches.

Cannot dim from dimmable wall plate

These lights are only bluetooth dimmable. You cannot dim from the wall switch. We did not realize until we had them installed.
