Seems safer, cleaning takes longer.

I am using this brush on my a standard gas grill with thick cast iron grates. Using this brush laying flat on the grate takes a little more work then a standard bristle brush. You will then need to turn this brush 90 degrees to get the sides of each grate. The extra effort is overall worth it as the perk of this product is that there is less risk of a wire bristle detaching and making its way into your food. If the wires we a little more flexible it could possibly help clean around the grate rather then just scrap the top.

Good try

It's no brush, and that's good in that it's not losing bristles on my grill, but it's bad in that it's just not very aggressive. Had best luck using it sorta diagonally across the grill. Works best if it's not dried stuff from last night.

Not as good as a bristle brush, but I'd rather be safe, and this is the only option I know of. Just takes a little more elbow grease.

Great Replacement for Wire Bristle Brush

Great product - bought this after finding Wire Bristles in some steaks I had cooked on the grill after cleaning with a wire bristle brush. This gives me more confidence that nothing else will be on my grilled foods
