These bowls were made for soup, a gourmet salad

Immediately the first thing I saw was the bumpy grooves on the side of the bowl and thought "anti-slip" bowls! These bowls are almost too nice to eat out of. When you look into the bowl, it's like looking at the retina of an eye. They are not the deepest of bowls but they can hold a nice serving to satisfy anyone's palate. I have some mahogany-colored braided serving plates that go perfectly with these bowls.

Nice large bowls

beautifully designed set of bowls. quite a large capacity , a little more shallow than i was hoping but they work well for all kinds of different foods, not just pasta. easy to clean, durable with normal use. My son dropped one on our hard wood floor and it did break but that would be expected, did not splinter too much when it broke, mainly just several large pieces so I appreciated that during cleanup. I would like more pieces in this set if they are available

Gorgeous

A gorgeous platter. Made of glass but has a look of bronze. Well worth the price. However, the company needs to rethink how this product is packaged. I found it a miracle it came intact because the platter was safeguarded by literally just a piece of carton.

Gourmet But Not For Pasta

I agree with a few of the other reviews about the bowl being kind of shallow. More like a plate that's shaped like a bowl. Not for spaghetti or cereal, more like for a side salad or something. But it is a really nice "bowl". I'm transitioning to a white and black theme. The design adds a little something extra, it's different, instead of just a plain design. A great purchase for your kitchen!

Nice serving bowl

The media could not be loaded. This bowl is heavy in weight and dishwasher/ microwave safe. It is missing a few glaze spots on the side of the bowl but I do not think that takes away from it at all. This is a good size for a tossed salad, pasta for two, or side of veggies. I like the glaze design and the extra design on the side of the bowl.
