Sticky shutters

The shutters on the unit work, and they are difficult to get open when using it properly - requiring really JAMMING a plug into the socket for things to open properly. Make sure the plug is very secure in the wall plate, it's going to get abuse!

These are pretty tough to plug into without 'breaking them in'.

The installation was just fine. They do exactly what they are supposed to do. It's really hard to plug something in the first couple of times. This is because of the tamper-proofing feature. Make sure that you break them in BEFORE you install them.

Not for 4 wire outlets

I had to return these as they didn't work for my situation. I was trying to replace 2 prong outlets with grounded 3 prong ones. If you're trying to do the same pay attention to the number of wires! I had 2 prong, 4 wire outlets but these particular outlets only have screws for 2 wires, not 4. So I had to go with GFCI outlets instead to ensure proper installation and safe grounding.

tamper resistant feature needs improvement

the tamper resistant feature does not work smoothly. I'd suggest "breaking in" this outlet by inserting/removing a plug about 10 X before you install the outlet.
