Warm and good value, but not very sexy

This jacket is very warm and snug. Has several useful pockets and underarm vents - very important for winter hiking, etc. And, the price is right - compared to other Columbia products. But, it just does not look great. It has a different material and cut from other Columbia products. I'm no fashion star, but I look like a lump in this jacket. Other the other hand - it keeps me warm, and that's the main point. It's cut a bit short, so if you want more rear-end protection, order a size larger.

Amazing coat!

I have had the coat for a couple months and wore it on some colder days, but wanted to wait until I took it skiing before giving a review. This coat was awesome on the slopes. It was light, warm and was very accommodating with flexibility and motion. I even purchased a medium after trying a large, and the smaller size was a great snug fit and still very flexible and didn’t restrict motion at all while skiing. I even got pretty warm after a couple runs with just a thermal long sleeve shirt underneath, so I used the underarm vents and they were great! I definitely recommend the coat

Love this coat for skiing.

As a first time skiier, I bought this and evaluated it against much more expensive alternatives. I ultimately returned the others and kept this one because it fit me better, was easier to move in, and looked great. I did not regret it. I went to ski school for five days and it performed great. Temps were in the mid-30s and it kept me warm. Any colder than that (or if cloudy days) I imagine you add on an additional layer or two and you'll still be in great shape. Can't say enough good about this jacket.

Not so warm

This looks like it ought to be warm and has all the features you would expect of a heavy warm winter jacket. But it is not. I find the insulation rather thin. I get cold easily. Using a 300 weight Polar Tech jacket under this Columbia, I can get down to 40 F. If you want a toasty warm jacket, this is not it.

This is not a winter jacket!

This is not a winter jacket! I had to wear a liner jacket underneath just to feel warm in -4 degrees Celsius weather (24 degrees Fahrenheit). Good quality construction, stitching and design but this jacket will not keep you warm in even the mildest of winter days. Even with a liner jacket underneath I wouldn't want to be outside in any lower than -14 Celsius (7 degrees Fahrenheit) Very disappointing I expected much more from this brand.

Double check sizing chart, jackets seem smaller than standard sizing.

The jacket looked great, and the quality was as well. I returned it though since it was a little tight... if I had the correct size I would of definitely kept it.

Excelente chamarra para esquiar

La chamarra es sumamente cómoda y de buena calidad, tal y como se muestra en las fotos viene ligeramente grande pero si la usas para esquiar esta perfecto para poder usar una capa mas abajo de la chamarra
