Beat work coat

I bought this for my husband he works outside in the winter. He absolutely loves it. We live in Ohio so it can get really cold. He wore it all winter with no complaints of being cold. It’s still in great condition so he’ll be using it again next year.

Great initial impressions

Given the price, I thought that the shell might be more like a thin windbreaker material. It's not, it's more like a ski jacket. It feels pretty substantial and it was very warm tonight right around freezing, just standing around and with only a flannel under it. I normally wear an XL, but purchased a 2XL and I'm glad that I did. It seems to run about a half size small. I just recieved the jacket so I'm unsure about water resistance and durability, but initially it seems to be okay quality for the low price, and it's very comfortable. There are however a lot of seams and while the material does overlap, they don't appear to be sealed at all. So I would tend to question it's level of waterproof-ness. Water resistant might be more accurate. The non removable liner is polyester and the insulation feels like the standard cheap 'fake snow' type matting you see in department store displays, if you know what I'm talking about. That being said, it's distributed well and is even in thickness throughout the jacket. It traps body heat very well for how thin the insulation is, and I would imagine that with a sweatshirt underneath, and any type of physical activity, you would stay warm well below freezing. It fits well, it's very comfortable, it's warm, and it's cheap. Initially I give it 5 stars. I'll update the review as I use it.

Elastic waistband made this an L purchase for me

This jacket would have been perfect if it didn't have the elastic waist band. Didn't realize it had one when I purchased. I'm an ironworker, I do alot of over head work, and work in awkward positions, so the elastic waist band makes this jacket ride up and it's just not comfortable. Other than that, It's a nice jacket, warm, comfortable, and has reflectors and high vis neon color perfect for keeping the safety guys off my back at work ;). If you don't mind the waist band, it's a good buy.

Worth every penny

Very warm and water resistant. Just buy one size bigger so you can be comfortable when wearing layers with it. I bought 3 of this coats for other people I work with and they all say the same thing great coat, even better price

Warm and comfortable, highly visible.

Bought a 2xl as I'm 202 lbs and 6ft tall. Coat is a little big even with a sweater but not too big to return it for a smaller one. Wear this primarily while walking due to its high visibility. Have been out in minus 19 windchill and remained nice and warm. Front pocket is too small but not really an issue for me. This coat is well worth buying and is highly recommended.

Order larger than you normally would

Caution*** buy at least one size larger than you normally would. Fits small. Otherwise great coat for the price.
