Disclosure... I bought my pair from Warehouse Deals for a significant discount, in Used (Very Good) condition. I have a lot of cats - from a pair of 4lb kittens to a few of 10-15lb cats, to a 27lb Maine Coon. Most of them are NOT a fan of carriers. Normally, I use leash/harness or the traditional hard carrier for my babies. I recently decided to try soft sided carriers primarily because I can throw one over each shoulder (and still carry the hard sided carriers in each hand). This, I thought, would make it easier to take a small herd to the vet. Honestly, I didn’t go in with high hopes. I didn’t expect to like these, but for the price, I said “ehhhhh why not, I will try them”. I worried. My cats are not teeny tiny. My cats are not prim, proper teacup Yorkiepoos. My cats don’t like carriers. Could a soft sided carrier support them? Was it secure enough or would they chew their way out or free a zipper? Would it be structurally sound enough to hold them without collapses? Wow. So... I was pleasantly surprised here. These are a more snug fit than my traditional carriers. I saw them and thought ‘dang, these are going to be too small, oh well, I tried’... But, wait! I had one out on the coffee table, zipped it up, was checking out the little window zippy... and a cat climbed in, turned around, laid down, and decided to bat at me through the open zippy window. The cats really really really like these. They love the mesh “windows”, they love the smaller space. They really love the little zippered “window”. Multiple cats climbed up and checked them out. So many pros. They store totally flat. The zippers and sewing are solid quality, not thin or junky. The mesh is very nice and will hold up against a cat claw. These were definitely nicer than I expected... shockingly well-designed, easy to put together, hold form very well when zipped together. Soon, one of the 4lb kittens was laying on top of one (best spot for sneak warfare against the cat inside it, of course)... no cave in! (It did not hold a large adult cat who tried to follow suit - lol.) Next test, I zipped up two of the cats, 13 and 15lbs. Carried them around, tried the shoulder strap, the carry handle. Much to my surprise, my cats really liked the snug fit and neither experienced any structural issues. It was a snug fit, but the cats liked it more than their larger hard sided carrier. Obviously, the 27lb cat, well, he doesn’t fit. We know this with certainty... he tried to shove himself in one. Everything is of much better quality than I expected, and they hold my average-to-chunky adult cats with no issue. One can easily hold both kittens. These are basic but very thoughtfully designed. They are easy to spot clean (I haven’t had to yet, but trust me, I buy enough stuff for my cats that I just KNOW these things), easy to store, durable, safe, and more importantly, the cats are happy. I also like the sleek black look and feel, very pleased with zipper, mesh, and sewing quality. I didn’t expect to, but I like everything about these and so do my cats. Normally I add pictures to reviews, but in this case, no need. These are EXACTLY as the Amazon pictures show.
