Great router bit, but SAFETY WARNING!

The bit itself seems to be of very high quality. It makes a very smooth and even cut. I have only used it on about 10 linear feet of cut, so I do not know how well it will hold an edge. The four star rating is given because of the container that the bit comes in. It is a very strong case with a large clear cap. WARNING: Pay close attention when opening this container with the bit inside, especially the first time. After I unsealed the case, I attempted to remove the top of the case off the bottom. It did not slip off easily. I gave it a serious grip with both hands and pulled like mad. When the top slipped free from the bottom, I felt a serious pain and saw blood dripping from my finger. I had a very serious cut. Be careful not to let any of your fingers hang over the edge of the the case cap. The bit is sharper than a razor and when the bottom is pulled out of the cap, the bit is a moving blade. PLEASE STOP AND LOOK WHERE YOUR FINGERS ARE!

Very high quality and sharp

Used it on building 3 book shelf and it works perfect for 3/4" thick board. The cut is a lot cleaner and last a lot longer than the one I bought at Menards. I bought 2 of it from amazon and keep one for backup. By the way, I'm using a palm router from porter cable and loves it.

Cuts like butter

This bit cuts like butter. Very clean. Perfect size to create a recess for a 3/4" shelf board to slide in.

Normally Freud products are very good quality. This one was not for me. It shattered on the third cut. Luckily, no one was injured.
