Feels solid - prevent paint chipping

QUALITY: This feels solid (weight, firmness). Given the relatively low price, this was my main doubt when buying this. PAINT CHIP RISK: 1-2 reviews mentioned that black paint on the screws might chip. That happened a bit with me too - but I just filled in a tiny dot with a sharpie. Then with the next screw, I turned it using my fingernail - then final turn very carefully with a screwdriver. SCREW LENGTH: Some reviews mentioned that the screws are tiny - and they are. But they were certainly long enough to attach into the holes on my GFCI outlet.

Not powder coat

I assumed this would be powder coat because I have always gotten high quality items when I but Franklin but it’s paint…and bad paint. Just dropping it on my smooth tile floor scratched it and the tiniest slip scratched the screw enough where I needed to paint over with a sharpie. Also, the screws are only the very short kind and the bottom one doesn’t reach on one of the outlets I bought them for so I had to sharpie paint an old screw. They’re highly visible in a bathroom so I guess these are just temporary.

Just what I needed

Simple. Pain. Matte black. Screws provided. Black didn't come off the screws. Simple but very nice on my walls. I'm happy.

Great matte black color!

I changed all my bathroom items to a matte black color. This electrical plate was perfect! It is sturdy, it looks good, and does the job. The only complaint I have about it is the fingerprints that show up on it, but hopefully you aren’t touching the plate too much for that to be a problem!

Screws were a little delicate, so don't try to crank them down, or you'll ruin the black finish.
