I really appreciate that Fox RIver continues to innovate. I have been purchasing socks from them for the last 6 years and have seen many versions/ iterations. These are the best they have made to date. They are both super comfy (allowing me to wear my crappy boots that have no gortex liner) and durable. I wear these 5 days a week, 8-12 hours a day for years without any signs of wearing out. The first generation I tried back in 2010 were very tough with great arch support and some cushion. They are still in my sock drawer with no holes and literally thousands of hours of wear. The next iteration I tried in 2013 was super soft but had some durability issues that I reported to the manufacturer. This is even softer but with no durability issues that I saw before and still has good arch support and padded shins for the laces that have to be tucked. They keep my feet warm in Colorado and I had these on after being snowed in on base during a blizzard. My feet stayed warm while I dug the car out. If you need a present for the soldier/airman/marine in your life this is a winner. Just make sure the color is correct for their branch. PS. If you work outside in awful cold (-10°F) I would recommend thorlos excou extreme cold thick cushion which just get too hot if you spend any time indoors.

Ordered a large got an extra-large packaged as a large

Well made socks! I bought a large and another of a different style (6074) made by the same manufacturer, both in size large. This one was considerable longer than the other. I contacted the manufacturer and they wanted me to send them pictures of the socks compared to each other. After seeing the pictures they had me ship them this pair back and after their QA team inspected them, they said that the large I purchased was actually an Extra-Large and must have been mislabeled/mispackaged as a Large. They sent me a replacement sock that was a large.

by far the best boot sock I have ever worn! spent days in sub -20 degree weather in these with NO issues at all! snow shoed and ruck marched in this weather, often in snow waist deep! feet stayed warm, dry and comfortable. wicking was very good!

Great product !! ...bad discrimination !

Amazing product ...... but under product discrimination this add says 3pk and only one pair comes. Son is in the Army and he and his unit LOVE these socks. Just wish discrimination was correct. Going to have to order from someone else because trying to buy multi pack, because we are shipping directly to the base.

Tight Around the Calf

The sock is too snug around the calf. Disappointing.
