Great paint at a reasonable cost!

Can’t go wrong with folk art. I should have bought this first. I was getting frustrated with my current paints (different brand) because they were not adhering and I would have to do multiple coats. (Used paint on ceramic) This multi surface paint has GREAT COVERAGE, ADHERES VERY WELL, VERY PIGMENTED with ONLY ONE COAT but does DRY VERY QUICKLY. So if you are wanting to blend your paint it would be best to use a good BLENDING MEDIUM. It was packaged well with zero issues and arrived quicker than expected. I will be sticking folk art from now on.

Thicker than I anticipated...

This paint is beautiful! It's also sooo thick that it creates a ribbon when you dip in it or pour from the bottle without the lid. It surprised me! I have to admit that I'm having trouble acclimating to its consistency and have ruined several mandalas that I spent countless hours on because of the paints thickness. I'm throwing away money on things I could be selling for profit because it is just so hard to get an even and consistent application ????.

Perfect for resin artist

Out of all the paints I’ve tried, folk art is one of my preferred brands. Just dilute it with a little bit of water and it dries thin enough to scratch and clean off with a baby wipe.

One complaint

I got these because I have tried the brand before and I like the product. I use them mainly for painting on wood but also occasionally in a mixed media junk journal with gesso. My one complaint with this set is that, as the photos show, one of the bottles (sea mist) was about a third of the way empty, while all the other bottles are full right to the top. I could tell as soon as I picked it up, as the bottle was much lighter than the others. But other than that, I have no complaints.

I love my Folk Art Paint but......

This is tough, I love Folk Art paints, have crafted and used these since the early 1980's. This price is great, but the paints sit either in the warehouse or by the supplier. Also some of the tops are not completely screwed on tight and so some of the paint containers are so thick and almost unusable because of air getting in over time. I rely on Amazon for much of my crafting because it saves so much time instead of not finding a color or some small portion of what you are building thus having to go to more than one store or wait for delivery to them. I hate the idea that old product is being sold here to move it???? Or the sellers just don't know to check the cartons, the bottles are loose, just check them and rotate twice a year. I have to at home.

Nice quality paints

I know I can mix these colours from my other paints, but to have some specific pastel colours, I find a bonus. They are nice quality and I am very pleased with them.
