Your basic replaceable water filter

The label shows the correct starting and finishing position for this filter as you insert and rotate it for installation. Each filter has month labels included, a nice touch although my fridge has a 'change me' light as a reminder when it's time.

Just what I needed thank you

For whatever reason Samsung changed the connectors on their new filters - I ordered prior w another company and had to send the filters back , I contacted Samsung and supposedly nothing I can do ? Wtheck , I’ve purchased two other times via another site and a fb exchange where someone bought the wrong size . I must use this brand and thankfully found a pic I’d taken of the brand way back . You’ve saved mt life lol ;) I’m a water and crushed ice drinker and even converted to drinking our not so bad sink water but that was a hard time in my life - just saying . I truly hate that water filters are so expensive & know people who don’t buy them and opt for delivered water . Glad to save a few bucks. Thanks again

Small Changes

I have been buying this water filter for years. I noticed they made the sticker for the change month a lot smaller (yeah,I do pay attention to it and correlate it with my fridge warning light). Hard to see without glasses now. Also, no little tube of O-ring lube. Why?

Happy refrigerator, happy kitchen

Two things you care about with a third party replacement for a part you hated to buy in the first place. First, is it cost effective. Second, will it work flawlessly. So far both desires have been fulfilled so I'm a happy refrigerator. Note to people worried about leaking connections: the o-rings are the seal, and that little package of white paste is silicone water-based lubricant. If you don't have it, think k-y jelly. Without this on the o-ring, you are making a simple replacement--it inserts by pushing in, then rotating till it is tight--a gambling event. The odds are with you if you use the lubricant on the o-ring--the little black rubber ring around the part of the filter that goes into the refrigerator. Please keep your mind clean on this...and your refrigerator leak-free.

Leaking with some recent batches, but easily fixed

Like some of the other recent comments on this product, I have been using these filters for a few years without issue. The price is much better than getting the official branded filters, and the water tastes great. With my last order, we started having pools of water form underneath our filter. I applied some of the sealant (included) on the gasket and o-rings around the top of the filter, and it appears the leaking has stopped. It was a simple process that took <30 seconds. The sealant has always been included but I've never had to apply it until now.

Good so far.

Seems ok but only been a few weeks. Good water pressure, water is clear and tastes good. Took a week to get the air out of the system though which was odd. Price is definitely better than buying original.

Second time buying these

Next best thing to Samsung original filters. Fit perfectly, no leaks. Water tastes about the same as the Samsung. And best of all, they are about half the price.
