I purchased this cause where I was getting the filter, the cost of a single one is about the cost of these two I just purchased. I will start to purchase these instead of the single one here. The comparison is exactly the same for the higher rated filter and will keep purchasing them to filter the air coming out of my AC/Heating unit.

Fit and Works perfectly

Works and fits perfectly in my HVAC system. Not sure how well it filters, but will see when Spring comes as I have horrible allergies around that time. No issues when installing it either and came packaged nicely.

Essential for those with dusty homes.....LIKE ME!

My house is 110 years old and is ALWAYS dusty. Also, I have horrible allergies, so I am very sensitive to air quality. We have air filters in every room and also installed these filters. They make a good difference! They do need replacing fairly often, but that only means they are collecting the dust that is sucked up. These help improve indoor air quality by removing dust and other things that you really shouldn't be breathing in anyway.

BEWARE! Terrible airflow restriction limits heat

Rather than repeat what a previous reviewer wrote, read the review with the headline, "High airflow resistance costs me $450 repair bill." This is 100% correct. I just had an HVAC tech check for why my furnace was keeping the house 6 degrees colder than the set temperature. He first looked at the filter to check to see if it needed replacement. I changed it recently so it was totally clean. Then he thought it might be the thermostat. Nope. Burners? Nope. After multiple other tests, he noticed that when the front panel of the furnace was open, the temp on his thermometer shot up CONSIDERABLY. Hmmmm. Airflow! When the airflow is restricted, the furnace limits the high temp. So he closed the front panel and tried pulling out the filter... The temp immediately shot up to where it was supposed to be. He looked at the max airflow rating (I was buying the Healthy Living model) and it was right at the cusp of the furnace's own rating. Not having any other filters at the time, I had to put in another brand new Healthy Living filter even though the current one was only a couple weeks old. Yep... Temp was fine. Now, just 2 weeks passed and the house was freezing this morning. I put yet another of the same filters in (I had purchased a few previously) and up shot the temp to where it was supposed to be... With me not ever touching the thermostat. Fortunately I found out the issue before my furnace died from the airflow restriction. Don't make our mistake. The highest number isn't necessarily the best for your system. I'm going to drop down to something that's not going to waste my money and damage my furnace. Otherwise, at this rate, I'd have to install a new Healthy Living filter every 2 weeks... Nuts!

Ignore the Naysayers: Excellent Filter and Well Packaged

Despite the many nonsensical "reviews" here, I purchased 3M's Filtrete 1900 Healthy Living Ultimate Allergen 2-Pack of filters for the first time after discovering that "Consumer Reports" magazine rated the filter I'd been using one of the lowest it tested. (This Filtrete 1900 model was one of the highest rated, by the way.) The photo here shows what I received February 17, 2021: Two pristine 16x25x1 filters shrink-wrapped together and shipped in a sturdy outer cardboard box. No, they are not individually wrapped. There is no need for that. If you're worried about the second one becoming "dusty," then keep it in the outer box until needed and/or run your vacuum cleaner more often. Regarding the many reviews from people complaining that they didn't receive the filter as-shown above, it seems many of them submitted reviews about different filters. 3M offers a ton of them in different sizes and filtration levels. I admit it took me quite a while on Amazon until I was certain I'd located the specific filter recommended by CR magazine because there are so many variations, but the filters I ordered were exactly what I received. Anyway, as nerdy as it sounds, I'm actually excited to note the difference in air quality and dust collection this new filter will provide within my house in the next 2-3 months, before I replace it with the second filter. As long as I see an improvement, I'll consider the greater-cost-per-filter worth it. Finally, I paid for these filters with my own dough and didn't receive any compensation/inducement to provide a positive review.
