These replacement are quick fixes to my track problems.

Not for under 7 or 8yrs

track was great but as some friendly advice to parents considering a Bachmann set for a kid under the recommended 8yr+ - don't do it. Our 5 year old found them too hard to put together himself and broke several tracks within 10 minutes. Also, if your kid is like mine - he enjoys redesigning the track more then playing with the train. I wish we had got him the lego city train set instead when he was five... now he's six all he wants to play is Minecraft!

Not the best - but perfect for a kids starter trainset.

For the most part, these are very suitable tracks for the purpose we are using them (Kids train set that they put together on occassion, not a permanent display setup). I was hoping with the more solid nature of the track I would have an easier time allowing the kids to play with the train set on the carpet, we still have severe problems with derailments, and even the engine itself getting stuck. Setup is quick and easy, but you still need to make sure you take great care in ensuring that the rails line up properly and are linked as well. These tracks do not look very "realistic" for the avid train enthusiast. But for a kids starter train set, these are perfect and will help younger imaginations with smaller hands be more "hands on" with setup. (My four year old can put them together)

Dissatisfied.

The design is nice. It looks like real model train. However, it's very frustrating trying to keep the train in the rails. It doesn't matter how well the installation is made, the train cars will come off very easily with any movement or acceleration in the curves. Sometimes it only takes a slight bumping between the sections of the track to lose one of the wagons. I don't think they put enough effort in the quality and functionality of the product, not for a train that is not cheap. Honestly, I have seen better performance in similar products with much lower price.
