Powerful opener

The opener has no trouble with corks. Will see if it opens 30 bottles on one charge as advertized. Foil cutter is tricky to use thus the 4 star rating.

Effortless and Easy-to-use corkscrew. Rabbit is the ultimate corkscrew brand.

I prefer this compact model over the standard size Rabbit electric corkscrew. The cool part of the standard size Rabbit is it is fully automatic and requires very little strength or effort. It automatically turns on when you place it on the bottle. There are no switches to deal with. The Rabbit pulls the cork from the bottle and then reverses to remove the cork from the corkscrew, all without intervention. All you need to do is hold the corkscrew and wine bottle steady. There is a small eject button that resets the corkscrew when it gets stuck. The problem was after a few years of heavy use my standard size Rabbit stopped working. I was able to fix it several times (by resoldering broken wires and repairing internal micro switches) but ultimately the corkscrew stopped working. The main sensors failed to turn the unit on and the eject button no longer worked either. So I bought the newer compact Rabbit electric corkscrew. It's not fully automatic yet still requires very little strength or effort to use. The first unit I purchased was defective. It would not pull the cork out of the wine bottle and the LED's did not light. Bad QC. My second unit is working flawless though. I like the design and feel of the smaller size. It's great to have the option to store it on the base horizontally or vertically. You do have to push a switch to activate but this design is a lot less likely to fail over time. The switch is integrated into the grip and covered in rubber so it will never wear out. Push down on the switch to pull the cork out of the bottle then push up on the switch to remove the cork from the Rabbit. The green and red LED's let you know it is working properly and it is requires very little strength. Once again just hold the corkscrew and bottle steady and the Rabbit does the rest.

It’s good

Definitely makes opening bottles quicker and easier. The cork doesn’t always lift all the way out and needs a couple tries but overall pretty good. Good gift too!

Excellent Corkscrew!

Easy to use! Have gifted 2 of these, and plan to purchase more. Note: instructions didn’t say, but keep corkscrew going until it sounds like it’s speeding up. Then you’ll know cork is out, and it’s time to remove the corkscrew from the bottle and eject the cork.

Great now but a learning curve

I was almost ready to write a bad review and send this back BUT not now. The first couple of weeks my results with getting a bottle of wine open was mixed and I felt not worth it. The package directions are pretty vague. I thought I knew what I was doing when it would work but next time it just chewed up the cork and got stuck. Finally I took to google for instructions and found out how to use this beauty. Tips for success: First; I recommend taking all the foil/wrap off the neck of the bottle, not just the cap covering the cork. Second; hold the bottle still, don’t let it spin with the Rabbit. Third; press the Rabbit down over the bottle and push the lower button and hold until it stops. Be patient, some corks come out easier than others. Forth; There you go! Cork is out of the bottle and press the top button to spit it out. Fifth; drink your wine! Cheers ????

Compact but powerful, pulls even stubborn corks

We replaced another brand which just couldn't get the corks out. This corkscrew pulls even the most stubborn, tight corks. For this reason I've rated it a 5 star. Pulling corks is the reason I bought it. I wish the base was a charging stand, but we only have needed to plug it in once in the several weeks we've owned it. The foil cutter is sub par, so I bought a six pack of better ones, on Amazon.
