I wanted to thank the Amazon customer “works like a dream,” who provided a wonderful video on how to install this light. I had to replace this same light my husband installed years ago. We got these at Costco originally. My husband passed away last April so now I have to do things like replacing lights I never had to before. I was apprehensive about changing this out but that video was great. Very clear. This was for an outdoor light but I’m thinking of replacing my recessed lights in the house with these because it was so easy. I feel very proud of myself. Great product too!

A very reasonable replacement for can lights. Definitely needs a dimmer since without using any dimming, they are VERY bright.

Perfect fit.

Bought this on a whim. I had converted every light socket in my house to LED. Well almost, except for a recessed light inside of the front door. It took me two years to figure out the massive draft of cold air that was coming in was through that decorative face of this light so I had used saran wrap to mostly seal it, which actually worked for 7 years ( and the light never died either...hmmm) So thinking this fixture would completely cover the opening and provide an LED upgrade! It did and was so easy to replace the decorative facing with this "retrofit." And no more air draft!!! Bye, bye saran wrap. Oh, it looks like I can modify this fixture with two screw holes to attach the decorative outer rim so my light fixtures will match again. Instructions were spot on. Everything it mentioned was just like it said. Only complaint I have is my fault, never checked what the brightness of this fixture was, so I went from 40W bulb to this 75W LED...thinking once I attach the decorative face it will tone it down some.

Make sure the trim bezel matches your existing light fixtures

I bought one of these LED light fixtures about a year ago to replace one of my kitchen "can" lights that had gone bad. Recently I decided to replace the second light fixture in my kitchen so I ordered another one. The trim on the second light fixture does not match the first one I bought, even though I ordered the exact same item. I think HALO should have changed the manufacturer part number when they changed the trim style. Overall, I'm very happy with this LED light fixture except for the difference in the trim.
