Great product, but….

This Delta faucet looks great, it is modern and sleek and well made. However, you will want to take the flow restricted out of the water line going to the spout. It’s just a very small plastic piece. Without doing so, the water coming out of the tap is about the size of a straw; very unacceptable. It was a super easy fix, just do it before you connect everything. Also, the written directions are not helpful for this unit. Delta does offer several easy to follow videos on line which make installation much simpler.

These are all factory refurbished units

It took buying three units to get two usable units. Initially bought two for the two sinks I was upgrading. Units arrived with both marked ‘Delta Factory Recertified” which is fine except two issues: 1) Product was sold ‘New’; and 2) One unit had the wrong pieces. Ended up wasting time running around town looking for replacement part (threaded clamp/nut that attached valve to underside of sink. Ended up just ordering replacement unit that was also a reconditioned unit. Aside from the wrong parts the two finished units are great. Just took three days and when. It should have only taken one hour for the entire project.

Low flow a disappointment initially but there may be a simple solution. Yes....there was.

Love the style. High quality metal parts. BUT........poor water flow. (SEE UPDATE BELOW) These faucets have small ( about 1/8" ID) plastic supply tubes in one part of the assembly. I knew this going in and I was a bit worried that flow would be reduced. Well, guess what? It was. I estimate about half the flow I was used to. I guess the water conservation folks win here. UPDATE: Contacted by a Delta representative who suggested I check the flow regulator. Apparently, Delta includes several variants with the faucet ( ie: 0.5 GPM, 1.0 GPM etc). By changing this little gadget or removing it all together I should be able to increase the flow. I'll try that and if it doesn't work I'll amend this review back to about 3 stars but for now.....5 stars. UPDATE: Totally removed the flow regulator ( easy - took 5 minutes) and now the water flow is good.

Beautiful and excellent faucet

Beautiful and excellent faucet. Took a while to install but it was worth it. I was worried about the amount of flow but it is just like any other faucet . I have my house water pressure regulated to 55 psi and the amount of water coming out is fine. A faucet is a faucet but this is a beautiful design and especially when it flows, there is a line of water coming out like a water falls, unlike the typical circular flow of other faucets. The only con is it may be difficult for the average home owner to install. Another thing I was worried about is when it is closed shut that the handles will not be perfectly 90 degrees, with the angular shaped faucet, well there is an adjustment for that in the installation directions.

Needed a Delta replacement with a smooth water flow

My previous delta wide spread Vera was too much pressure, it would splash water on countertops with minimal handle turn. The Ara solved the problem, it provides a smooth steady flow and no mess. Install was easy and clean for me, the valves and handles turn smoothly. Small drops of water do stay on the faucet if you do not wipe...but it is a better flow than the other styles for our purpose.

Quality, Function, Contemporary Lines

Love these faucets, put 3 in my home. The look matches the lines in my vanity lights and vanity hardware. Adds that little contemporary edge to the room with the square lines I have throughout the house. The waterfall feature is awesome, water comes out splashless and smooth flowing. Chrome adds that little sparkle the room needed. Lots of compliments.Quality product with Delta warranty.
